dyscode: I cannot believe it !!!! I spent
$34 on a computer game. This has not happened since, 8 years?! maybe. I mean, I rarely spent more than $5 on a game these days.
But DX:HR was just too tempting.... hopefully not too good to be true, actually.
I have some expectations...
grynn: DD sites (especially Steam) have really changed things for newly released games. I've been paying $5-$10 just like you lately. But I remember that paying $75 wasn't that uncommon back in the day. When Half Life 2 was released, the local retailer wasn't so quick and I wasn't so patient either, I paid almost $90 for an imported copy. Dark ages!
Ha, yes this reminds me, early 1990, before the removal of double taxation etc across the EC/EU and the introduction of internet. Mail ordering an independent production Atari ST game. Paying 12000 drachmas for the game, 3000 for postage and a further 20000 for taxes and fees lol. First and last time I did that.
Got to love the internet.
