Nope. It's cheaper at UK site:

Sid Meier's Civilization V - £6.78 @ GG UK
http://www.gamersgate.co.uk/DD-CIV5/sid-meiers-civilization-v?caff=3449711

£6.78 = $11.18

I meant the game , not the price . :)
Civ V is inferior to Civ IV BTS and to Alpha Centauri, but yeah they've been fixing things on patches. The game even has recaps now. I'd say it is well worth it now.

Oh :) Well I think it is for this price. Still waiting for some patches though. It is an enjoyable game, quit good I'd say, but I'm not a hardcore Civ player.

For the people wondering about daggerdale and steam, I saw this post on the forums:

"Dungeons & Dragons : Daggerdale can't be activated on steam, tested it myself. it cdkey format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. OP might want to remove it from the list "

nagytow: Nope, if you check the other thread here on the forum, you'll learn that Steam is not a DRM ;)

ChickenHero: Wrong.

Having to Download a client and run it order to play a game = DRM.

Plus the fact you don't actually 'Own' the games and valve can take them away from you anytime they want.
Whooosh!
I cannot believe it !!!! I spent $34 on a computer game. This has not happened since, 8 years?! maybe. I mean, I rarely spent more than $5 on a game these days.

But DX:HR was just too tempting.... hopefully not too good to be true, actually.

I have some expectations...

Not much of a gaming deal (or secret), but HP is selling their Touchpad for $99 or $150. Link here (currently sold out but they probably have some on the way)

Possibly US only..
That is also because they are discontinuing all their WebOS devices.

DD sites (especially Steam) have really changed things for newly released games. I've been paying $5-$10 just like you lately. But I remember that paying $75 wasn't that uncommon back in the day. When Half Life 2 was released, the local retailer wasn't so quick and I wasn't so patient either, I paid almost $90 for an imported copy. Dark ages!

Ha, yes this reminds me, early 1990, before the removal of double taxation etc across the EC/EU and the introduction of internet. Mail ordering an independent production Atari ST game. Paying 12000 drachmas for the game, 3000 for postage and a further 20000 for taxes and fees lol. First and last time I did that.

Got to love the internet.
I was nothing but a pirate (well there were no legit copies here anyway :p) in Amiga 500, 486 DX and Pentium 133 era, so I can't talk much about 90's but I must have paid more than enough to those copy pasters. :(

Got to love the internet.

For all peoples complaining about price increases on games for PC's at least it doesn't seem true I remember paying 29.99 for Quest for Glory V back in the day, You can still get AAA titles for the PC at that price on release day even now...
Infocom's interactive fiction reportedly cost $50 in the 80's. No refunds either.
