carnival73: Extremely polished, well done, great presentation, boring.

prakaa: So wait. It's well done, just boring?
It's an Master of Orion type game. It was worth the eight dollars I paid for the complete collection when it was last on sale but I wouldn't pay much more than ten for it.

It's ok but there's more exciting stuff out there.

prakaa: Anyone wanna give me an opinion on Swords of the Stars Complete?
For me personally, boring as heck.
It's probably not bad, but unlike Master of Orion or Space Empires it just isn't compelling enough for me. MoO and SE always had that one more turn feel to it (again, for me), but I've started SotS a dozen times and I always quit after about fifteen minutes because it's too boring.
I wish I could put my finger on it, but for some reason for me it just doesn't click.
Probably not the most helpful post ever :P
Thanks guys, might skip it then

If you like 4X games, you should get it. Many people love it and there isn't anything wrong with it. Well, apart from the map which sucks balls. But that's not my scientific opinion on it.
Magicka is 50% off ($5) at Impulse, if anyone's interested.

Gamersgate's Daily is Creeper World -60% €2.68. Apparently a rather successful variant on Tower Defense.

Supposedly this leaked on the store page, leading to believe that Steam will be hosting F2P games soon. Listed for now are Champions Online, Global Agenda, Forsaken World, Spiral Knights, Alliance of Valiant Arms.

Midweek Madness on Steam is Darkspore -40% 29,99€

There is a free demo at [url=http://www.kongregate.com/games/whiteboardwar/creeper-world-training-sim?acomplete=creeper]Kongregate.
Steam daily deal is 50% off Secret of the Magic Crystals ($2.49/€2.49/£1.99).
Steam had been having two midweek deals for few weeks now. It's odd for them to go back to single.

It usually came out a while after the first so it's still possible.

Those free to play games are already available.

Out of those, the only one that really catches my eye is Spiral Knights.

TD fans should check this out. Instead of a marching horde, you have to drive back self-filling pools. Height becomes vital to victory.
