Engerek01: This news is backwords. First, Turkey is not bombing Kurds, We are bombing PKK, a terorrist organization that killed 2 thousand (2000) people in Turkey only in the last 2 years which in total of 50 thousand people in 30 years. There were some kind of peace negotiations going on however PKK didnt respect this and killed 2 thousand people. Turkish goverment was late as usual. PKK terorists are trained in Kandil, they attack and then retreat back to Iraq. Thats why our Air forces bombed Kandil. Its very important to state that PKK are not Kurds. They claim they represent Kurds but in reality they are a mixed organization which holds the drug trade routes in middle east and europe.
Depending on which news you read the entire ISIS / ISIL thing is just twisted.
The news does not do the actual facts any justice. Not that I am saying the actual facts are easy to gather, and whilst I do not believe that ISIS are a good thing - I struggle to justify the actions any sort of extremist activity - I can see why Turkey is not happy to fight side by side with the PKK Kurds. I also do not get why they agree to help the West with this, surly they do not want to join the sinking Eurozone that much.
It made me laugh to read an article (BBC I think) which said how the American, Israel, EU and UK governments were thankful to see Turkey stepping in to help their "Allied" Kurds fighting against ISIS. It mentioned in a single, almost irrelevant line that the Turkish government had only agreed if they could bomb PKK and ISIS positions. Therefore making their "assistance" far less reliably focused on the Western supposed "issue" of ISIS. Quite frankly they appear more of a threat to our interests. Yet still we are all apparently so happy to have the Turks on board.
As I understand the situation it appears a mess. ISIS, Kurds(, Obama) and Turkey all Muslim, to one extent or another. All of this is one screwed up triangle of future problems if you ask me.
- The West is supplying Kurds (once such a big terrorist problem that we allowed Sadam Hussain to gas them) with weapons to fight ISIS.
- PKK Kurds have killed thousands of civilians in Turkey. They buy and sell useful commodities such as drugs, weapons and resources to sell to countries such as Iraqi.
- PKK and ISIS have geological issues.
- ISIS sell and buy useful commodities such as drugs, weapons and resources to countries including....
- Turkey, fighting on the side of the West.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but I see a big, big ball of future issues.
