Anyone else saw our turtling colleague? You know... so the others don't think I'm lying or anything...
It is something that happens (there are a hundred different reasons) and shouldn't be looked at/seen as significant I think ever, except if perhaps there is an impending close deadline and that person in a crucial position to do something or affect the game/contribute something more than they already have that would be helpful or whatever.

It's still not clear to me how you voted, Brasas. Not that I'm pushing for it, your responses just seem a bit...off.

Maybe I am just paranoid!

Brasas: @ Dess

Yo baltic colleague, pretty sure you were shining green a while ago. Have you voted? :)
I shined green for team #1.

I have voted and my vote is nay now because I do not trust agentcarr16. This is because:
- he was happy to join the first mission, even proposed himself - it made me ask myself "why? is he a loyal resistance fighter, happy to help or a spy, willing to pass the first mission to get credit?"
- his, as captain's first question about what team to choose, was too abstract, readable both ways - spy, talking to fellow spies or a resistance fighter, mulling over valid helpful ideas.
- proposed team without clear explanation as to why that team.

Thus, his true intentions are unknown and doubtful. I think I am ok with overall sending team #1 to mission two, as I can see profit for resistance in either mission's pass or fail. But not with agentcarr16 on the team.

Thanks. I never really paid much attention to the online "traffic light". Just I hope the rest send their votes before my bedtime.

As for the rest...
[winks provocatively]

Just trying to release some tension. I get gassy when I'm nervous.

I'm not sure that's the only thing that stinks in here though.
avatar
drealmer7: It kind of makes me wonder if we should have held off more on giving our opinions and seen what each person who was on the proposed mission team said about the proposal themselves.

Maybe next time?
Good thought, I can see the benefit in letting the proposed team voice their opinion first. Egad, did I just I agree with you. ;-p

avatar
Brasas: I think this team choice is very logical and I will be happy to see how y'all vote on it.

JMich: ...
There I go, thinking I've understood how to play the game. Damn it.
I get the same feeling.

If I'm around the home or nearby I typically leave a gog tab open. If I'm working or away from home, I pop in and leave as time permits. Under normal circumstances, I don't put much thought to whether I player shows green or not.

Back to the question about agent. Did a quick scan - unless I missed something, I've only played two games with agent. In one, he was killed N1. I typically watch other games from the observer thread, some more closely than others. My meta read on agent is pretty weak. With that in mind, based on meta, it does not surprise me for agent to mull over multiple options and ask for feedback as opposed to making a decision straight out if the gate. So from that, I could see a loyal agent make that request if he is new to this game (like most of us). If he has prior experience, I'm more suspicious.

Thanks Cristi,

Can be confirmation bias, but I do recall Agent being somewhat Hamlet like...

Right you are.

I know three of you "stink" from our briefing, I just don't know which exactly 'cos my nose ain't that good.

That said, you're nibbling and nibbling, if you know what I mean.
And you do realize you'll know my vote soon enough right? Feel free to ask me about it then.

I mean considering how many folks are either following my lead, or leveraging my exposure to camouflage strategic flip flops (or are they really?), you'll pardon me for stepping back just a tad. ;)

No hard feelings heh?

[clenches cheeks, manages this one]

@all

I promise that was my last fart joke... off to bed
Team picks so far have been bland. Awaiting the vote list to draw something meaningful from it.
certainly no hard feelings!
So, seems I've raised a few hackles.

Well, I got the reaction I was looking for. Interesting.

avatar
drealmer7: (...)
what a silly question anyway, like a spy would answer "oh yes, I am! you got me!"
It was rhetorical.

avatar
Brasas: I like this team proposal. I don't trust any of them though :D
This feels unexpectedly right. Not sure why, though...

avatar
cristigale: I'm also not fond of agent requesting feedback prior to his team proposal.
@ All - I most certainly had a team in mind when I posted that. It was mostly to see what reactions I would get. WIFOM that how you like.

avatar
Brasas: How decisive is he usually?
In Mafia, not very. In Resistance, much more so.

But I've been working on begin more concise and deliberate. How'm I doing? :-D

Mostly it was because I don't feel like playing serious.

I'll give reasons if you like.

Though I notice that lots of you have already cast votes without asking for my reasoning. Strikes me as kind of odd, that does.

I'll try to give some more reasoning as to why I do things, if you guys'd like.

I've got prior experience. Lots. Just FYI.

I'm going to go ahead and vote on my mission now...
To be or not to be... alas poor Yorick... yada yada... TL:DR overanalytical?

That said, what you are hinting at gets my other finger pointed at you.

Finger of cautious approval -> Agent

And by the way. Getting reads on people sure is harder without actually seeing them heh?
avatar
agentcarr16: I'm wounded. :'-(
Basically I judged you by the way how I would have acted. I think my way to be a good way and that is to explain my choice or give a reasoned proposal. Unless information given is too much for spies to know.
