Who do you have as leaning scum?

Do you think adaliabooks slipped early on when he knew spectres could not be NK'd before it was confirmed? What did you think of his suggestion of him being a PR?

I got JMich right up there with flubbucket, I could see why trentonlf would not be at the top of the NK targets list if he's Town.



I thought it quite likely, and wanted to test it by putting some pressure one him, but no-one backed me up. He seemed pretty smug with Bookwyrm627's vote locked on HijacK and was quire relaxed after that.

If he's Mafia, dropping his soft-claim, especially right before having to leave for work (it's Saturday, so I assume he's got to work), is something I can see him doing. He knows it would cause questions which would hopefully lead to pressure, and he's not good at handling it on the fly. So dropping his soft-claim and leaving gives him time to think and plan how to respond.
The trick here now is to follow up on his reaction with (more) pressure to see where it takes us.

There's one possibility he's Town, but I'll wait to see his reaction.

As for who I have leaning Scum - a few too many for my liking at this point in the game.

Because the last town power role outing themselves, that's exactly what we need right now.

I meant we can't afford to mislynch. And lynching me would be a mislynch (we might as well out the exorcist and lynch him ourselves).
Scum appear to have three full days to find and kill our last power role, that's assuming we manage to hit one with each lynch. Every mislynch narrows their pool of targets and gives them an extra day.

We need a miracle or we're screwed.

I'm vanilla town. I got one PM when I subbed in. CSPVG doesn't seem the type to have had conversations with agent that he will have forwarded to yogs...

I agree. I stand by my claim that the Exorcist choosing to remove HijacK was a no-brainer. Bookwyrn was confirmed town. Hijack was not. Simple as that. Add to that, several people, including myself, thought he was scum. Why would you risk removing a confirmed (and involved) town for a potential scum? I can't see how any insight town-HijacK might provide would be worth the risk.

No offense to you RW, believe me I am keenly aware of the difficulty of subbing in as I'm in the same boat, but I really think a4 would have given something, anything more than he did if he weren't paralyzed with fear as scum. That's my best bet; I'm sticking with it.

I realize this is not exactly brilliant contribution. I am almost paralyzed myself because there are lots of directions to turn that go noplace good.

I certainly see some things that would came off as scummy to me if I didn't know better, especially toward end of day with the lynching vote. Frankly, it looks like a comedy of errors with multiple people not knowing where the vote count was or possibly thinking it would be as easy as retracting a vote after pressure, if she even realized that was the goal.

As to paralysis, I have a lot of the same. I keep re-reading things, but this far in, you'd think I'd have at least someone else I fairly strongly believed to be town, but I don't. The day 1 no-lynch didn't help much and I see a wagon that seemed more deadline rushed than entirely based on belief. My vote is on Adalia due to inconsistencies, I just can't get past the idea that maybe at the beginning of the day that was a legitimate attempt to get a power role to reveal. And then the threat how we lose if we vote him off. Of course then there are those pointing that out and its hard to tell if that is in good faith or helping guide us to their "right" conclusion.

Question for you. I've missed a few games, has Drealmer ever been scum in a normal game? If so, was there any difference in playstyle?

He was my buddy during prohibition. Not really a "normal" game, I guess. But I would say he's developed a style that is extremely difficult to read alignment. Good for him.

-If there are any alignment changing mechanics in play, then I don't know anything about them.
-Krypsyn has been reported as saying there aren't really any bastard elements, and I'm pretty certain he would count mid-game alignment changes as a bastard element.
-JMich is the horrible human being, not Agent. (Babark and Chicken: this is a joke and a reference to a previous game)

Yog, I would really like to see some analysis from you. I know you're in a tough spot, but I'm sure you can find some game related things to comment on.

I don't read what a4 did as scum fear. It felt more like someone who thought they knew what they were getting into, refused to accept advice early in the game because 'hey, I got this' (my paraphrase) and then finally realized they were in over their head after the hammer incident. I understand why someone would vote for her/RWarehall. I lean more towards noob error then scum. If she's scum, I'd also like to think her scum team would have provided some advice N1 that may have improved her approach to the game on D2.

I'll roll the dice on this one.
