yogsloth: 1) I'll take it, but probably not
2) Nope, well, probably
3) BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH
4) Use it or lose it to do the thing, yes this thing, but I don't think cristi could have done it, did she? Because she did something else too.
Sounds like you've got roughly the same list that we did, assuming you can correlate the first two to our descriptions.
babark: You mean from no scum and 2 power roles dead to 1 scum and 2 power roles dead and a greater chance at the 3rd (through increased information and possible spectre powers)? Yeah, I don't see that as implausible at all. I didn't say I think that, I said it isn't implausible. There is no reason to dismiss it outright.
You mean scum decided to start killing scum, instead of just going after the last power role and winning? Scum doesn't need to know what the spectres can do if all the town power roles are dead.
babark: Lets see...two spectres disappear in one night, and a mysterious new mechanic is revealed where lynchability of some people is increased. I suggest it could've been Cristi. You say "WHY DOES EVERYONE ASSUME IT IS CRIST?!"
...Okay, so what is your point, then? That Adalia increased lynchability of someone himself before getting exorcised, and then Cristi randomly disappeared for no reason at all?
I said "Cristi was offered as a reason, but Adalia as a reason was not so much as mentioned".
babark: So the guy who had been hounding me the entire game, voting for me with every second vote, and whose lynching was secured by my vote is actually my scum teammate? :D
Makes sense! Way more than me just looking at the information at hand and inferring and assuming. What exactly is it that I know that couldn't be figured out otherwise? I had asked yogsloth to verify every spectre related assumption I made, and his answers were all "I don't know". So this makes it very interesting. How do you know, wyrm?
Adalia squirming on the hook and slinging votes around could simply be distancing. Something like "That guy couldn't be my scum buddy because I voted for him frequently. Never mind me wandering off to vote other people repeatedly."
I know things because I'm a spectre and I'm inquisitive. You pushing partial theories that seem rooted closely in fact is suspicious; a town you should likely be either closer or farther from the truth than you are. Not close to the truth, but ignoring another aspect of it.
yogsloth: You're that certain? I hope you're right, but if you make adalia and babark both scum... RW and drealmer... who is the 3rd scumbo and who is just hanging out by the burrito truck screaming at passing clouds?
Sometimes, you just have to roll the dice. I haven't dismissed Drealmer as the third. He's certainly done enough screaming.
yogsloth: Well, I’m not. Adalia gets lynched, so yes, he knows he’s headed for ghostville right away. But how do you know he got a fruit basket? How do you know he wouldn’t get that unless he survived exorcism?
Look at the Day 2 opening post. Everyone that dies becomes a spectre and has choices. Think about deadlines and losses. Look at what Agent announced mid-Day, and think about the conversation cristi and I had.
yogsloth: Fair enough. I’ve been called worse. Usually twice before breakfast. But do I get to know what you mean here? Do you have some way of knowing it’s a Townie who has the five-vote lynch?
Understanding dawns! (in your next post)
I don't know for certain, but that's where the likelihood seems to point.
