SirPrimalform: Ah, so the lack of diacritic in Vitek's username would make the i short? And therefore pronounced more like Vittek? (the i is short because of the double t, it's only when I talk about it I realise how little sense English really makes)
Exactly so. The Czech system is beautifully simple in this. á é í ó ú ý are just long versions of a e i o u y. And the other mark we have softens the consonant below -- so š is a soft s, therefore "sh", and the same goes for č ř ž ň ď ť. There's some trickery involved when you dig deeper, but the general rules are easy.

(I'm really starting to think we ought to move this somewhere else; I'm still a bit in IRC mode after the finale of #9.)

Yeah. I'm regretting not learning the international phonetic alphabet now.

I started off reading it sort of "tshin-EEK-(uh)" but one day Liam observed that there was only one i.
so I've been going for a sort of "zzz-shh-CHINK"

Are you going to enlighten us?

He is lazy and doint it harder for you. The row is usually ž š č ř ď ť ň because it's easiest to pronounce. He just That lazy lizard wrote them in order they are on keyboard. :-)

That is rather elegant... English is just irritating. I feel especially bad for those that have trouble with spelling in school here. I imagine they wouldn't have nearly as much trouble with a lot of other languages.

Going to bed.
I'm quite fond of pronounciation and orthography. Even grammar I quite enjoy studying. Trying to work out what a softened r d or t sound like is too difficult though.
I'll try again tomorrow.

gooďňíghť fřiendš!

He's there for another... week and a bit I think?

What were you thinking going for a month Joe!?
For those who have not noticed yet, or lost the link or whatever:

Mafia 11
Maybe I'm just being impatient, but it was impatience that got me here.
I've got less than half the players I require are signed up for the game #12. Should I change plans; put my current scene into storage and bring out a game more suitable for new players?
Then I can go out onto the gog forums luring people into the mafia web with boards entitled "Who would like to win a gog!?" "Can someone explain to me what a gog is?" "What's your opinion on gamerager?" et cetera

Advise me!

Change the Mafia to Steam users, and the Town to GOG users. Begin each day with a silly news article they need to bicker over. Half the forum community would join instantly.

(please don't do this, it's a horrid idea).

Hope I didn't actually offend you! I couldn't help notice that you're a dude who has a lot of opinions thought about him, and I figured we might as well use that to our advantage.
Although from what I've seen the type who has the strongest opinions about you are the type we don't really want in our mafia games, 'mI right?
