Well, congrats to the winners and thanks trent for the great setup and hosting. I will have to take a break from Mafia (IRL stuff, don't have time to focus on it anymore for a while at least). Good game everyone.

ZFR: Look at my post 298. "(a) GR started behaving suspiciously again, and". Up till that point I didn't particularly want to lynch GR based on his general behaviour, but his previous post is what caused it.
Hm. Personally I think you should have voted for Lift.

Do we know why they killed you yet? Tell us about these breadcrumbs. I never bothered to go and look... sorry...
If I'm mafia in the next game will I be able to resist killing you Night 1?

I just realised how stupid it was for me to give Lift town-points for iso-ing himself (Lift did you really do it?)
Just because I can imagine few things I'd like to do less, doesn't mean it's something only TOWN would do, what's wrong with me??

Lift, why did you town-read me Day 4? Just to raise my hope so you could dash them further? ;p

JoeSapphire: If I'm mafia in the next game will I be able to resist killing you Night 1?
No, next time I'm mafia with you I'm going to kill whomever I want and won't be persuaded otherwise by you.. Won't look at whether they've been killed early or not previous games. Out of principle. Even if it means having no night kill because we couldn't reach a consensus.
3 N1s in a row. One two three. That's the amount of days you played this game only.
RFG played 3 games and got to be mafia, jailer and serial killer already. This was my first - first - investigative role in... 12? games since I started playing.

Yes. I did iso myself to see what you might see, so that I could better defend against it. And also to avoid contradicting myself too much.

And I town-read you mainly because I would have done so as town. I usually try to "forget" that I'm scum from time to time and to play as actual town. :-)
But also I reckoned that town- reading you might defuse you a bit and create some confusion. I guess I was right on both points.

That's entirely fair.

I can't wait ;)

I'm a bit dissappointed by how much ROMBUS comes into my game. If you're worried about me suspecting you just give me a little attention and I'll come over all diffused and confused.
Still can't really understand why someone would be worried about me suspecting them. It seems to be a positive thing for scum...

Where's RedFire at? Did he observe? Did he have fun?

JoeSapphire: Where's RedFire at? Did he observe? Did he have fun?
Sick for some time. Thanks for a great game Trent
Oh yeah, if there's any questions about my play, you can ask em now, with the added comfort that this is post game and you all know I am Town now.

Oh no! Are you still ill? Get well soon!

Blotunga too, hope you're all better, or nearly recovered if not
I told y'all that RW was scum.

agentcarr16: I told y'all that RW was scum.
I believed you.
Well I see the game is now over....and sadly I was wrong on both my picks(joe and dedo), and the ones I mostly cleared were the "truscum".....I guess it's good I died early then? o.0

avatar
Lifthrasil: All in all: good job! It was an exciting game!
It was, and I tip my cap to you for tricking me, good sir. *tip*

Now the observer thread.....eh, not so much(ghost town USA).

JoeSapphire: That does NOT mean we should make a habit of lynching GameRager early every game! If we're going to do that we may as well just ban him from mafia.
New rule: L.A.G.(Lynch All Gameragers)....it's the only way to be sure, is it not? o.0 ;D

avatar
JoeSapphire: What it means is we should accept the fact that "saying a lot of nonsense" is just not one of GameRager's scumtells.
Nonsense? Nonsense?!? Bah & ptooety, I say!

(Also sorry for suspecting you....it seems my getting it right streak from the one game didn't hold up long)

trentonlf: It’s often the case that people focus too much on setup or roles and lose sight of the actual gameplay.
Serious idea: Why doesn't someone make a game with all vanilla scum and town and list scum/town numbers at the start? That and other things might make people focus more on posts and less on setup, possibly.

ZFR: I wasn't for particularly for lynching GR throughout the day (though I was willing to if no better candidates came forward). Because yes I agree his behaviour was NAI. Until post 294. The encouraging someone to lie was something new he introduced and meant that he was going to be a problem D2 (or he could be scum).

Look at my post 298. "(a) GR started behaving suspiciously again, and". Up till that point I didn't particularly want to lynch GR based on his general behaviour, but his previous post is what caused it.
Why though? I get it...lynch all liars....but there should be exceptions to that, such as a town hiding a PR till the time is right.

I believe lift was the wagon before mine(would have to look back)...if so then if we'd stayed on that we might've won. :|

I've recovered but with a 2 year old and a 2 week old, life is a lot more complicated.

Yes, when the Joe/Lift shenigans started we should've lynched him :D

A town may use his own judgment to "lie" , rarely, when the situation really warrants it. Outright telling someone else to lie is a no-no. It would have caused you problems on D2.

On the second line: I disagree....I think telling someone to lie for the right reasons(pro-town) is a more pro-town than pro-scum tell.

On the third line: Eh, my posting style does that all by itself.
