HypersomniacLive: And what about mchack?
...
Do you think that the CL's plan consists of a single target for the D1 lynch, and a single target for the N1 recruitment?
hmm, I guess not: Rather a single (or even a group of) preferred Target(s) for Lynch and probably a single target for N1. (get someone lynched that's on his track and recruit someone that's got a lot of town cred ... wouldn't know who these are, don't ask :) (But since you will anyway: If I were CL I'd recruit Trent (he's not even been voted the whole game) - as for who to lynch, of course only CL knows who's on his track, I earnestly don't know who he'd want lynched right now. (But probably you, because since I FOS'd you, you became a menace: making people do re-reads on a daily basis, reiterating questions, CLs bound to be annoyed ;)
But what do I know, that's how I'd do it but maybe CL is smart (unlike me) and just doesn't care at all who's lynched (as long as it's not him) which means he could have an easy time staying away from the wagon forming (he's the only one knowing it'd be a townie, if we are on the wrong track come lynchtime) and chooses his recruit with a dice. (which helps a lot against any alarmist we might have, reducing any assumptions he'll have as to whom to protect pure chance)
mchack: [...] Still after the ISO of Lift, I still don't think he's our best bet on hitting scum, since he's way to engaged, calling out people making enemies, not something I at least would do as scum. [...]
HypersomniacLive: Can you point me to whom, where and for what he called out people?
oh, man. You're doing it again! ;) (I should really stop talking out of my ass, and write less and more to the point/concise and research each comma before posting, but well, I guess I won't.)
ok off for another ISO of Lift: (you know this is taking time off my learning how to make nice charts 'n stuff about this game! o_o)
(I'll not even try to link the posts this time, but yes you got me I haven't yet read the posts about the proper way to make links, that pass the gog forum software Demon without getting crushed to bits and sprayed all over the place, yet. But I will before trying to post more than one link at time, I promise)
#28 - Calling Sage out on WIFOM (probably RVS Banter though)
#110 - Calling Wyrm out (and voting) on "Scummy" Soft-Claiming + unexplained voting and a bit Trent, too, for being fast on the Vote Trigger.
#115/#119 - Calling Wyrm out on being wrong with the "Posting Restriction" thingie. (probably doesn't count either, not really making enemies there, but it's a town thing to do, ending a source of distraction by pointing out it's a "should" not a "has to" in the rules, and if it were a posting restriction it'd be game breaking.)
#170 - Calling out Sage for not saying anything on Wyrms soft-claim although it's already near 100 posts back.
#174 - The much cited "over-eager" bit on Trent. netting him a vote.
#228 (and others) - Calling Flubs useless
#250 - Calling out You: "Stop misrepresenting..."
#312 - Voting Hunter for throwing accusations of throwing shade too easily.
---
So whatever you think about his play I think we can definitly agree that he's engaged and is calling people out and making enemies. There's 6 people out of 7 he has confronted about something or other, so it's definitly not some lay low, under radar kind of play.
mchack: [...] 2. hmm. here
#213 he made a firm stance on him being the best lynch for day 1. [...]
HypersomniacLive: Do you think he really meant it?
I have no Idea, but I don't think so. We don't have Jokers in here, right? (only reason I would imagine anyone wanting to get lynched. I think we all play this game to win and that includes flubs, too.)
mchack: [...] But I still think CL would be in a more comfortable position when he'd be playing like HSL right now than when he'd be playing like Flub. [...]
HypersomniacLive: Is the "more comfortable position" for the CL to be in play(style)-wise independent of which player the CL is?
What?
ah, I get it. Guess not. Haven't thought about it, before. But of course, if someone already has a set way of playing, it would of course be very telling if he deviates from that trying to be all laid back and shit. True. So yes. When I say that's not what I would do as CL, this doesn't mean, it's not something others wouldn't do as CL. (oh, too many "not"s in that sentence. I'll try again: if Hijack every game always votes for everyone around him, it wouldn't be good to stop doing that just because he's the only scum in game, even if it's not something I would do as scum in the same game)
HypersomniacLive: Yeah, sorry about that. Most players either followed or played in the game(s) I mentioned. In game #49 everyone but trentonlf was a lonesome SK (he was the only townie), with some interesting mechanics and restrictions. It was an interesting setup worth reading, if/when you have some time.
To get a taste regarding the tone I mentioned, you could ISO the players of interest in that game.
ooh, that sounds like fun. Will read (or at least make a chart ;). Thanks for the summary/teaser. (btw, I thought maybe with all that scraping, it would be possible to make a mobi (kindle ebook) out of the older games. To read them more comfortably, less straining on the eyes...)
