dedoporno: That's the thing. It's a matter of perspective. From where I stand and with whatever knowledge and observations I have I believe I'm doing the right thing. So I do believe I'm making it better. This may not be the case but you telling me it isn't doesn't change my mind. I don't know how else to explain it and either side will always be biased to some extent - you are trying to stay alive and will probably do anything to do so regardless of alignment.
Sir, I will agree with you that you are indeed right, and I appreciate someone sees this. I find it as an insult to the game when someone pushes defensiveness as a tell of alignment in a game about deception. I'm generally an optimist, but I always caught myself being a cynic when playing Mafia, thus I always try to stay alive because I just don't trust others to catch the scum. In the words of Mordin Solus, "It has to be me. Someone else might get it wrong."
dedoporno: It's just the nature of the game. I work with what I have - you can tell me a whole bunch of stuff about how that is bad for us and how we are bad for doing it but I won't suddenly start believing you, you know?
Would you like me to run you the numbers? If that won't convince you, I don't know what. From where I stand, it's a pretty clear picture, but as you said, I work with what I have, and you don't have what I do because you can't confirm what I know.
dedoporno: The only thing I'm quite certain of is that you are not allied with a few other players and that's it. This doesn't make you nor them more town. Nor me in your or their eyes. It applies to everyone.
I'll be a jerk and cross the "t" and dot the "i". What is certain is that I simply can't fuck with some other players. In a game of deception that is over the internet, there are a few things that one is ought to give another outside of the boundaries of rules and rules and regulations. And one of those is to be respectful of the impact and priority of real life. The accusation that I abused my responsibilities to get an advantage in a time of personal need just solidified my belief that some people lack any form of dignity. I hope we will win and scum will lose. I am disgusted by the antics that were utilized to push for my lynch.
dedoporno: Then next thing is not meant as an insult, it's actually somewhat of a compliment - you, my friend, are among the biggest liars I have had the pleasure to meet in these games and I will never EVER take the things you say at face value without at least some sort of confirmation.
I mean, I will take the compliment, but I have to ask exactly what led you to this belief. The Bulletproof Berzerker lie? I don't recall having anything else memorable besides that. And to be frank, it looks quite lame in retrospect. Trent's role title at the time influenced me, but someone more experienced could have seen right through it.
dedoporno: You asked me what I expected to change since D1 - I hoped for some of that confirmation as newfound knowledge coming from whatever mediums available. Unfortunately practically none of it came in a conclusive manner.
Then what makes you bank on my lynch as the greatest chance of success? What makes other candidates worse, despite their game play?
dedoporno: Therefore I prefer to risk a role that can potentially remove one of the bazillion killers our there by potentially protecting another of the bazillion -1 killers left and remove a major question mark that will continue to plague us.
Yet you are not banking on the fact that this question mark may be answered in the near future. Here I shall ask, if our lists are so similar, albeit with a change of order, why me? What's making me stand out so much besides my role? If someone says my request for a grace period, I swear to Allah I will take the plane to wherever they live and bitch slap them.
dedoporno: With all that said, after you my list is actually similar to yours with a slight order changes, but depending on how the day concludes, what happens overnight and if I'm still alive in the morning that may shift around (or change partially).
This is such a huge thing to bet on. Let me see if I understand this correctly. You suspect the same people of what I assume are almost the same reasons of being scum and playing as a team. You can definitely tell that they are not on my side, and you don't even know for a fact what the game mechanics are. It's a role madness games where 3 unaccounted for killers are loose, and you're about to lynch the only claimed protective role out of 9 remaining players.
Here's what I propose to you. Since I can't protect a NK targeted at me and if I am alive and we are both right, I'm a key target to eliminate. If we are right, the scum team is in danger. Guess who needs to be NK'd. And guess how that will go. Do the math. What result do you get?
dedoporno: I have to run now but I will be back in a few hours until late night, maybe even till the deadline if we actually wait for it.
I'm highly doubtful. If my numbers for remaining scum are right, we're in deep shit, excuse my colloquial French.
