Although my PM doesn’t actually use the word anywhere, I am a Miller. More specifically, I am a “Death Miller” as defined by the wiki. I won’t bother telling you my personal opinion of this… situation.

My character is an old-school Mafioso who is no longer in favor with my family. I came to this place to actually retire, and instead discovered to my horror it’s run by the mob.

I will both investigage… and flip “Mafia hitman”. Something something something take the boy out of the mob but can’t take the mob out of the boy etc. I’m assuming “hitman” is my role name since I don’t actually have anything otherwise listed.

However, I am Town. My wincon is the default.

You see now why I exist to entertain the Mafia. Imagine the lols as they lynch me and get that sweet, sweet Town credit. Imagine what they are thinking right now as they read this.

So I’m claiming D1 for a couple of reasons:

1) To prevent ANYBODY from getting credit for lynching/shooting me. If I got wagoned and lynched without claiming, I would flip Mafia, and that would be extremely destructive for analyzing the wagon. The Mafia on me could get Town credit, and Townies not on me could later be shaded by the Mafia for it. God forbid I got nightkilled and watched or something and now some Mafia who killed me could claim Town vig and you’d never look twice at them ever again. This way literally nobody gets credit for it. You know ahead of time I will flip Mafia, you know ahead of time the WIFOM involved in that, and you can all just put it at full null.

2) It would really really bother me to die witout claiming and flip Mafia when I’m not. Just on a personal level it would really bother me to get laughed at for “yog mafia again, Chinese lol” etc. Teeth-grittingly annoying.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE

I also have a limited NK power. I can submit a name for NK each night, but there are an increasingly-difficult series of restrictions placed on it (the exact nature of which I will keep to myself for reasons) that, to my eyes, make it somewhat unlikely I will ever actually get that kill off.

So my intention there is to play it Day-by-Day, but I’ll probably be calling my shot every day.

So the one great thing?

So, yeah. I also claim now because there is going to be an unavoidable reaction of “BS” that I’m doing this all as mafia performance art, etc. etc. I assume I will eventually be lynched. There’s no great way out of this role. But I can tell you this – whenever it may happen - I intend to absolutely wreck Mafia’s shit before I go.

There’s no way to avoid the WIFOM, and of course, it has to be me to get this @#$@#. I’m assuming I’m probably not the only one with a whacked-out role like this – who knows? But I damn well intend to take what I’m given and get the W anyway.

How would you feel if I got copped as Mafia and THEN I made the claim? I'd get lynched and nobody would believe a word I said, and as mentioned all the wrong sorts of people could get credit for it.

I suspect that town is in a cluster-boop situation, and we aren't going to win this game. Just wait until you see what role I was assigned. I don't have the fake flip, but I've known from the start that I'm not going to survive.

You are right and as I said I see why you claimed. I was saying that I would have waited till Day 2 at least before I claimed, but that's just me.

My claim is pretty much certain to end in my lynch, so no, I'm not interested in claiming today (except to see your reaction to it). Your claim makes me wonder what the heck else is out there, and causes more than a little déjà vu.
