I took my Kenyan guests out partying last night so I'm a bit behind but catching up.


As I already said a bit earlier, at this point HSL and Wyrm are more interesting to me, but mostly because of the lack of something more noteworthy.

This may also answer bler's question: yes, I was serious about intentional uslessness being lynch-worthy. But no, I'm not dead set on lynching yogs and yogs alone. I got what I wanted: an intelligible reply and hopeful some more serious participation in the future. As for 'why yogs and not flubb' - well, yogs was the one openly stating that he was intentionally trying to be useless. And that felt worse than what I remember of his (or flubbs) usual D1 uselessness.

Speaking only for myself, the lack of a comment from you stood out because your posts are back to back (#83 and #84). Admittedly, since I was not here at the time and GOG's timestamps are non-existent, I don't know how close to each other they were made, and if you were online when yogsloth made his. It's just that his post #84, tone-wise, seems to be in continuation to the exchanges the two of you just had at the time, so I assume(d) he made it right after, or (very?) shortly after your post #83.

Your plea came right after saying that GammaEmerald "deserves" a vote or two for lurking, so it wasn't exactly made in a vacuum. In this context, the question is whether your worry, and the timing of expressing it, is genuine or not, or if put there as cover for/ to soften the impression of your earlier statement about GammaEmerald.

You had a good amount of back and forth with drealmer7. Your last post to him (#98) quotes part of his post #94. Which is actually the post where he made this comment about GammaEmerald that trentonlf pointed out. Yet at the time of your post #98, you either ignored it or didn't find it comment/vote worthy. Now you have seen trentonlf's argument and agree that drealmer7's comment feels off.

Why does this look like you're piggybacking on trentonlf's argument to place a vote on drealmer7? Like you were looking for a reason to vote drealmer7 without being too obvious about it? A vote which you preface with that rather odd "now that I have my vote not set at the moment, I can do this".

I don't know what's going on with the two of you, but I'm not ready to chalk it up to your usual tunnelling on him and vice versa.

Are you saying the key is to try and not compare people to their previous games/behaviors/etc. and only try to figure them out in the context of the current game so we don't accidentally misjudge them? Basically try to leave any potential meta out of the equation? If yes, how is that recommendation helping us figure out anything at this point?

If I was a cynical man I'd see such a suggestion as an attempt for one to try and redirect attention of any potential differences in their own attitide/gameplay because they know that's going to be there and eventually people will get note of it. But, of course, I'm not that cynical.
