trentonlf: I said it in post 103 where I forgot to bold my vote on drealmer: bit it seems everyone ignored it or thought it was not comment worthy.
I think bler is pointing out that you did mention it first. But not everyone ignored it or thought it was not worth a comment is not correct as I did mention it in post 115 and explained exactly what bothered.
and while waiting my 10 minutes to post the statement above Hijack posted the below..
HijacK: Hi! I'm here to tell you that I have no clue where to start, but I got a wonderful idea of how we can figure this out. You see, after education has so astonishingly benefited me (except Business Statistics. I hate that class with the fiery passion of Ragnaros, the Fire Lord), I realized that one key element that seems to often impede us in this game, albeit sometimes it does help and assist, is that we rely on many preconceived images of ourselves and each other from former games.
Such a mechanic prevents us from properly reading someone because it adds a bias. While I appreciate the way drealmer operates, I often find myself shaking my head because he maintains a bias from previous games. Certain behaviors can be observed, that is true, and over time we form a rough schema through which we judge certain players based on how similar they are to their previous gameplays, but this can be easily skewed in out own minds up to the point of creating an alternate image of what reality truly is. Alas, we willingly decide to deceive ourselves.
I think drealmer, Hyper, and lift should take it easier with accusations. It looks like they are already raising the roof and such combative posts will only lead to them thinking of each other as scum purely based on the fact of conflict, not necessarily related to other behaviors, actions, and statements.
and I have to say I agree with that. I try not to take how people played in other games into to much account. However it is impossible not to take it in account a little bit. As some like last game with trent I knew something was different more by his lack of posting and his lack of fun carefree play posts. So it was more an account of what he wasnt doing. So we can try not to take past play styles or statements into affect but its completely impossible not to have some come through even is conscienceless doing it. I have to say Hijack if anyone has changed over the games it is you. And for good in my opinion. Your first statement on your not sure where to start is a new hijack im not used to and like it. Before to me you were ready to jump in and go all kinds of way and sometimes it could come off as defensive is someone didnt see your point or they were on a different page and now the change t is more of your reactions and how you play as taking more things into account and not just reacting and wildly going in directions. I hope this makes sense as I tend to ramble to try to make my points when im ytired.
TL;DR (LAST PART) I totally agree that getting into a tunnel view on past experiences is not good and harmful to the game an that we should all be taking into account action, behaviors and statements from this gam,.e
