for the others: I decided to try a hydra-only game - it was a Micro DoubleDay Blitz (9 slots, 2 lynches a Day, and each slot could vote as many times as it wanted, and the votes counted - I think I'm remembering that correctly? I think it was just goons and vanillas too)

Game started and I made a "hello" post (casting a vote on every single slot) and before gamma could even check-in or I was able to make another post we were speedlynched and it was lead by some fascists.

Flip Flop (the hydra) had too short a life, it was very sad, and infuriating (I spent more time looking for an avatar than I did in the game.)

...every vote cast would count? I assume it was limited in that a given player could only be affected by one of your votes at a time?

yeah I think you could cast as many votes as there are players but only 1 vote on a player from a player (so you couldn't just voet someone 5 times and get them lynched)

It's a userscript I made, originally to add search and isolation functions for the mafia games, that adds a load of various features to Gog.
If you're only here to play mafia most of it won't be of use to you, but the extra search functions are pretty invaluable (if I do say so myself) depending on your playstyle and how thoroughly you like to reread and fact check against previous posts.

I don't think I'll be using either of those. I can manage fine normally. I usually just play forward, with minimal looking back.

Yeah, the search stuff is less useful in that case. Ironically (when I actually play any more) I tend to play that way myself now and don't actually use the tools I built..

Barefoot Essentials is still useful though, mainly for the post preview for me (I don't use the quick reply, but that can be quite useful too) which I find pretty invaluable, particularly when trying to stitch together a reply to multiple people at once.

Where is the thing put on your computer: is it a browser add-on or what?

it's a browser script that is zero-cumbersome - I wouldn't use it if it were anything else as I hate "fluffy stuff"

I stayed away from adaliafundamentals for a LONG time on GOG because I thought it was "just another useless script addon pos" because I didn't really look into it to know what it offered

I played a bunch of mafia games without it until one game I realized I wanted to ISO someone (I forget the details, the past year+ has really done a toll on my brain, maybe at somepoint I'll remember) and I was like "ok fine I'll try it" and...

HALLALUJAH, adalia the savior for other things that had been bothering me (and numerous other users), until he came along with this (and barefootmonkey too!), and a sweeetslick better search function than GOG's pos programming

there's definitely a reason the name of the thread is "fixing GOG so you don't have to", although, I think a more appropriate title would be "fixing GOG so THEY don't have to" (I've been meaning to say that to you, adalia!)

Depends what browser you use.
Barefoot Essentials comes as a Chrome add on or as a userscript.
So for Chrome you can just install the add on.
If you're on Firefox you need to install Greasemonkey (which is an add on) and then install the script itself.

If you do want to use Adalia Fundamentals you'll need Greasemonkey or Tampermonkey (for Chrome) as it only comes as a userscript at the moment.

I use IE. I'm that kind of loser.

Ah. You may not have much luck then. I believe it's possible to use userscripts with Edge, but I don't think IE supports anything like that.

And you've probably heard it many times before, but don't use IE, it sucks :P
