Hunter was "confirmed" by a cop who might be sane, insane, or naive. How do you know CSPVG was sane?

I suppose town could always fall back on the old "try to figure out who is scum without relying on investigative powers". I mean, there's been plenty of conversation and accusations. But I could be wrong.

We've already got a path to try and narrow cop sanity down. If I hadn't pulled CSPVG's file first, we might be even closer already (depending on the results); I'm not sure how Bler would have handled the files if CSPVG and I had both survived.

Based on how my reads are revealed, I believe CSPVG-Danny is the one drawing that conclusion, not CSPVG-Player. I expect that Hunter = Town was CSPVG's role investigation result.

Calling Hunter665673456 100% town is not logical.

Revealing that one's investigative result was "Hunter = Town" is logical.

Whether that read is 100% correct is a different question entirely, and I agree that giving Hunter a pass based solely on CSPVG's result is not logical.

@Bookwyrm So the plan is to lynch me if you get a mafia result or if you get a town result? It would've been a good test if we had 13 members but with 11 it is risky to dedicate a lynch to test your sanity.

So other than RW do you find anyone suspicious enough to lynch today?

cristi has been quiet for the most part this game, but I have not found her play to be scummy. She seems to be actively hunting for scum, so no she would not be a choice for me today.

The two I am considering today are bookwyrm and RWarehall.

I want to give bookwyrm the benefit of the doubt and believe his claim, but it's a hard one to believe. I am not sure why we would have two players with the exact name and role, makes no sense. Is bookwyrm trying to steal the identity of CSPVG? Is he really a scum cop and using CSPVG's claim to sow confusion and enough doubt that we don't lynch him?

RWarehall is fixated on bookwyrm. He either believes strongly that bookwyrm is scum confusing us or RW is scum trying to get the cop lynched before we can figure out how to use his reads.

Yesterday I said the best information we could get was by lynching CSPVG. My thought was if CSPVG flipped town then bookwyrm had to be scum. Then when the day started and bookwyrm gave his full claim it instilled some doubt in me, his claim made perfect sense to justify what happened.

Of the two I'm leaning toward lynching bookwyrm, but the fact that there's a bastard element to this game gives me pause about it, but we can't let that fact rule our judgement. Focusing on trying to figure out what the bastard element is just creates confusion and has us chasing our tails.

I'd like to keep Bookwyrm around, even if he is a insane or random or paranoid cop he can be useful to town in day phase by voting.

drealmer seems a bit off to me, I'd be more comfortable voting for him than Bookwyrm.

Hard to argue with that, and I said pretty much the same thing yesterday (note: Nod to JMich for also saying basically this). Unfortunately, I am telling the truth this game.

Assume I flip scum: Great! Scum is dead. According to the 2 scum theory, town has won, or almost won if there is an SK.

Assume I flip town: Now what do you do? What did you learn, except that I'm telling the truth?

If you flip town then my crazy theory is probably true. My crazy theory is that we are patients in an insane asylum. I think most everyone has some sort of mental disorder that makes them think they are still what they were in the real world (cop, Doctor, etc), but in here they are actually just a patient and their roles are not effective or are limited. I would guess you either have a spilt personality (CSPVG was he other half) or you are trying to be him. I would also think whoever the surgeon is did the botched job on JMich. But as I said it's a crazy theory, and if it's true I'm not sure how to proceed.

I've wondered if everyone has the "insane" modifier. JMich breadcrumbed doctor on Day 1, and the non-backup insane doctor might have picked up on that and failed the 50% kill listed on the wiki. That would place CSPVG and I both as insane, making Hunter scum. If a town insane doctor killed JMich, then it would also place RW's "mafia accidently hit traitor" theory as truth, and means that Bulletproof didn't matter.

I don't know how Bler would set up insane tracker, watcher, roleblocker, etc. though.

I'm inclined to think that either CSPVG and I are both insane, or he was naive and I'm paranoid. I don't think he and I were a split personality, because I specifically don't have his number on my wristband. Not to mention, he's dead but I'm still able to play.

The problem with lynching me is that when I flip town, you're out a second cop and a town vote (which might be more important).

Only Hunter has expressed any interest in this, one way or another, and his is a vote for sharing. I just noticed something else that seems important, and I've already pinged the mod to make sure there isn't a mod mistake.

First, Flub, you are the one who keeps pushing Hunter as a Poisoner...
Does poison sever one's hand? I think not...
Does a surgeon start pulling organs to remove poison? I think not...

Hence, with no poison kills in the game, it seems your argument falls flat. So why are you pushing so hard to kill Hunter?

Finally, I get confirmation someone else heard a gunshot. Maybe we did have a bullet kill of JMIch given some people are actually starting to share information instead of hinting they have more information and we should just follow them...

I'm starting to like the Krypsyn/Flub scum team more and more...Flub has said very little this game, yet Krypsyn is acting like we are neglecting his vast contributions...and we have the typical Krypsyn non-contributions as well.

As to Bookwyrm, if you don't see why he's a policy lynch, you haven't played enough mafia. Town does NOT lie! I don't care if you have a power role, you cannot just claim Vanilla because as players we make reads. If you are lying to us, we might pick up the deception. How the heck is town supposed to ever figure anything out when both town and scum are trying to outdo each other with their lies. Bookwyrm claimed Vanilla, later claims cop to get a townie lynched, then says about the only thing he can to save his hide and does so with the Yogsloth patented walls of text filled with plenty of useless fluff. And for all the players saying, if he's scum, he's playing a great game...no, you are playing a poor game. Lynch All Liars. It's a policy for a reason so we don't end up with the clusterfuck of a game where town each keeps playing their one-man games. It's a team game, and Bookwyrm lying about his role (if true) to throw off scum is an example of one-man playing against the scum.

I think it helps illustrate the absurdity of my play in the event of a two man mafia team. Doesn't make a lot of sense even with a 3 man team, but it is a little bit better.
