Krypsyn: Luckily, we have entered the 'watching paint dry' portion of the Day, so people will probably be too distracted by all
that excitement to press the button again.
If you are bored, there is always the option to do something. ;)
drealmer7: The fact that wyrm is trying to convince us that it's a good move (to figure out what KIND of useless cop he is, because that matters SO MUCH)
RWarehall: And Bookwymn is impossible to correctly read because he was lying to us from Day 1 when he claimed Vanilla....not a single word of what Bookwyrm says has been confirmed by anything. ... He conveniently claims to investigate a flipped dead person to conveniently makes it appear he was insane.
Slackers. If you are going to push my lynch, at least don't use statements that are verifiably false.
RWarehall: Lynch All Liars. Else, if everyone going to buy the "Ok, I lied, but it was for Town" excuse every time you pin scum down, its no wonder so many fell for the "Town Arsonist"...
You heard the man! Lets lynch RW.
RWarehall: Cristigale is trying too hard to get our only confirmed town lynched...Right now, I think she is as likely a candidate as Bookwyrm for scum.
Hunter was "confirmed" by a cop who might be sane, insane, or naive. How do you know CSPVG was sane?
Also, I'd love to know how the scum chat went in this theory. Let me take a guess:
N0
Wyrm: Hey Cristi, my only scum partner. You know what would be a good idea? Pushing a lynch on CSPVG on D1. And if he claims a power role, I'll just claim an investigation and keep pushing!
Cristi: Wow wyrm, you are so smart. There is absolutely nothing that could possibly go wrong with that plan. Lets do it!
Wyrm: I had a really successful cop claim last time. No one will suspect me if I claim cop again.
Cristi: True, and even when CSPVG flips town, I'm sure no one will be suspicious.
Both: WONDER SCUM POWERS! ACTIVATE!
N1
Wyrm: Yay! I got a town cop lynched!
Crisiti: Yay! We're the bestest scum team ever! You know what you should do? Totally claim to have exactly the same role that CSPVG did, name and everything.
Wyrm: You're right! That won't look suspicious at all! Let's kill JMich, and I'll claim to have investigated him.
Cristi: Way to plan it! We're so going to win this because they'll never think to lynch a cop with multiple wrong investigative reports!
Wyrm: FORM OF, AN INVESTIGATION!
Cristi: SHAPE OF, A HUNTER LYNCH!
RWarehall: But if this game turns out with Bookwyrm telling the truth and flips that are incomplete (leaving off negative modifiers) I don't see how town had a chance except blind luck. If no roles can be trusted and no flips, town has nothing to go on.
I suppose town could always fall back on the old "try to figure out who is scum without relying on investigative powers". I mean, there's been plenty of conversation and accusations. But I could be wrong.
RWarehall: In a shortened game like this with apparently two NK's each night, to have both sanity issues and no sanity flips would be extremely bastard. The only games where sanity variations work are longer drawn out affairs where the cop has enough time to "figure" it out. In this game where it appears we could be down to 2 players after 3 days, sanity impaired cops make zero sense...no time to figure anything out. Not enough reads to narrow it down.
And I quote: "
Repeat, this game has at least one aspect that falls firmly under bastard modding."
We've already got a path to try and narrow cop sanity down. If I hadn't pulled CSPVG's file first, we might be even closer already (depending on the results); I'm not sure how Bler would have handled the files if CSPVG and I had both survived.
flubbucket: Well let's look at CSPVG's post.
<snip>
This sounds more like a conclusion than an investigation result.
Based on how my reads are revealed, I believe CSPVG-Danny is the one drawing that conclusion, not CSPVG-Player. I expect that Hunter = Town was CSPVG's role investigation result.
