I am reminded of when I was getting my house built, and the contractor asked me about how I wanted the tiles laid out around my fireplace. I started figuring out on my head how long the diagonal for the tiles would be using the Pythagorean Theorem. Once I was done, the contractor looked at me funny and asked: "Why didn't you just ask to borrow my tape measure?"

I mean... it wasn't a big deal.. the math was easy... however it just never occurred to me to actually measure the object in front of me physically. Even though it was the most obvious course of action.

Now, there are two ways you can understand the second question. First one is "Same problem as before, but instead of 3 lines you can only use 1". Second way is "How can you cover all 9 dots with one line", which is super easy, because it doesn't have any restrictions like straight line or anything like that.
Now, if I go with the second interpretation, which is logically correct, and you say that it's impossible, I can show that it is possible, because of missing elements.
Your post added the elements of "perfectly straight lines" and "plane that is unbendable", which still allows one to make three independent lines.

And that is why when you write a problem, you make sure you cover everything, or you allow for "creative solutions" ;)

It's not. Assume a piece of string is your single dimension utensil. You place the string on the plane, covering the first line of dots, then you drag the utensil towards the other lines of dots. Thus a utensil with a single dimension produces a stain with two dimensions. A utensil that produces a stain with a single dimension may make it harder ;)

That's interesting. Are you proposing there is only one scum in the game? There is precedent for such a game, I suppose.

What new information do you want? You've got the relevant data (CSPVG is scum), and even some extra pieces that aren't strictly necessary (his name is Danny, and there was a N0).

I've elected not to feed scum anything more than necessary. In the process, I've updated town with two things that mafia (presumably) already knew: CSPVG is mafia, and his name is Danny. I've also provided something to everyone who may or may not have known: there was a N0.

Because I see no evidence to support such a theory, while I see hints that indicate it isn't the case.

The current flavor doesn't deny us being in a mental hospital, but it also doesn't preclude us being in a more normal (injury related) hospital either.

BTW: Bler, I'm going to make a note here that I'm the first to suggest that we might all just be split personalities in one dude's head. So if town wins, the dude will be a (more or less) decent fellow when the game is over, while if scum win, the dude will be a gangster or something.

Well, the point of my question wasn't really the answer. However, when confronted with pedantry, I felt the need to clarifiy. ;)

I thought of that, (obviously, no?) Hence why I presented the theory I did about it all. Did you miss the point? The point is that if bler thinks no-lynch is a valid choice of play for town in some circumstances that he then would not make a condition that punishes town for making that choice that would then further reinforce town's discouragement from ever going for a no-lynch during a game.
Those are all certainly reasonable responses. I still prefer:
