flubbucket: An investigation revealing "mafia" should instill a deeper conviction.
I haven't wavered from CSPVG once I started on him. How much more conviction do you want from someone trying to keep an investigation under cover?
flubbucket: Again the lack of conviction regarding CSPVG's guilt.
I haven't wavered from CSPVG once I started on him. How much more conviction do you want from someone trying to keep an investigation under cover?
flubbucket: What alternatives?? If CSPVG is guilty then there are none.
That's interesting. Are you proposing there is only one scum in the game? There is precedent for such a game, I suppose.
Bookwyrm627: How long do you propose we wait for cops to claim results?
flubbucket: This is.....odd.
This is also providing incentive for moving forward without relying completely on claimed town power roles.
flubbucket: If CSPVG is scum, there is no reason.
At last! Someone gets it!
flubbucket: There is quite a bit here. What struck me was the potential setup of cristigale. This post seems crafted for the future.
Cristigale asked the questions, and I provided the answers.
flubbucket: And finally the "investigation" with no new information....other than the allegation of course.
What new information do you want? You've got the relevant data (CSPVG is scum), and even some extra pieces that aren't strictly necessary (his name is Danny, and there was a N0).
I've elected not to feed scum
anything more than necessary. In the process, I've updated town with two things that mafia (presumably) already knew: CSPVG is mafia, and his name is Danny. I've also provided something to everyone who may or may not have known: there was a N0.

drealmer7: <cut for length>
-Here's a thought: Bastard Mod Bler inserted a hidden condition where Town auto-loses if they ever No Lynch, whether by decision or lack there-of at deadline. Who'd ever see it coming?
-Plenty of talk about my possibly being paranoid, insane, or scum, and zero talk about CSPVG possibly being naive, insane, or, you know, scum. Way to consider the possibilities there.
-From what I've seen so far, Bler put far too much work in this setup for it to come down to "Shoot wildly in the dark and hope you get it right". He could have much more easily just run another Russian Roulette game.
-What crazed masses are you talking about? The ward was already locked down, and it is apparently just us. We can't even vote the mods!
-You seem pretty sure that CSPVG is town. What makes you so confident?

Hunter65536: Flubbucket made some nice arguments against wyrm, I'd like to see what wyrm has to say about them before I can say anything about wyrm being a paranoid or insane cop.
Here's my summary:
[url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/forum_mafia_38_murder_on_the_wing_game_thread/post297]attention.
Here's a question for you: what was the very first reason NOT to lynch CSPVG? What other reasons exist not to lynch CSPVG?

JMich: Why? The current flavor of the game does support the "mental institution" theory, and we might just be all crazy here. Or is your flavor such that flat out denies it?
Because I see no evidence to support such a theory, while I see hints that indicate it isn't the case.
The current flavor doesn't deny us being in a mental hospital, but it also doesn't preclude us being in a more normal (injury related) hospital either.
BTW: Bler, I'm going to make a note here that I'm the first to suggest that we might all just be split personalities in one dude's head. So if town wins, the dude will be a (more or less) decent fellow when the game is over, while if scum win, the dude will be a gangster or something.
JMich: Hm, I'm having some deja vu. Did we see a similar analysis before?
Did we? Link it (or cite it), and lets compare the situations.

drealmer7: If I don't pick up my writing utensil, how am I supposed to draw anything at all?
...touché.

Krypsyn: I am reminded of when I was getting my house built, and the contractor asked me about how I wanted the tiles laid out around my fireplace. I started figuring out on my head how long the diagonal for the tiles would be using the Pythagorean Theorem. Once I was done, the contractor looked at me funny and asked: "Why didn't you just ask to borrow my tape measure?"
I mean... it wasn't a big deal.. the math was easy... however it just never occurred to me to actually measure the object in front of me physically. Even though it
was the most obvious course of action.
Hey, I understood that one!
