RWarehall: Any besides that, there is no guarantee a cop will get the chance to reveal. He could die tonight to scum or an arsonist. I'd rather take the investigation into our own hands.

Besides, it would be a poor game if town would win by sitting back every time and letting the power roles reveal information. A good game should be making sure this does not happen. The game is about deduction. Copping out and just saying "No-lynch" with no one publicly taking any sides, leaves us with nothing to work with tomorrow. Day 1 information may be weak, but after a few reveals, there usually is at least something useful to look back upon.
I am also against no-lynch on Day 1. Besides some of the reasons that have already been mentioned, my first game was flubb's role-madness game with no flips. I've been a bit paranoid about confirming flips ever since.

Given bler's fondness of no-lynch, it wouldn't surprise me if a no-lynch is the best move at some point. I think there are too many unknowns to do it D1.

flubbucket: No lynch would help us reach new heights of ambivalence.

Krypsyn: Something to strive for, indeed.
Agreed. We should really care.
Regarding the even/odd thing, with the tease of an arsonist, it throws that all out the window. 11 goes to 8 goes to 5 then to 2 and depending on when and if the arsonist dies (should it not be a MacGuffin), only then is it useful to consider parity vs. a no-lynch.
You gotta admit, it's kinda impressive.

And they are starting up Monopoly again too!

I'm not ruling out the possibility that our bastard mod Bler might give me useless abilities under the guise they could be useful. I.e. anti-arsonist abilities with no fire powers in the game which would be only marginally different than giving people double-voter powers for days which would only occur in the strangest of circumstances.
With 11 alive it takes 6 to lynch / no-lynch
1. Drealmer
2. Krypsyn
3. Trent
4. Bookwyrm
5. RW
6. flub
7. CSP (3) - Krypsyn, Wyrm, RW
8. JMich
9. dedo
10. cristi
11. Hunter (2) - flub, dedo
12. Mr. Nolynch (1)- Hunter

Once was voting for someone; now not voting for someone - trent, csp, cristi
Once was voting for someone, then not -someone, then no one, now voting for someone again: dedo
Dadgummit you can't make me vote (and get off my lawn!): JMich
Your guess is as good as mine: Drealmer

CSP is still closest to lynch at L-3.

You have a deadline:
It is currently set for 10 am (PST) on Monday, March 28, 2016 in the year of our Lord.

Just as an FYI, I'll be around for about another hour then probably out of contact til evening. If you have questions ask them now (in thread or via PM) - if you do get wild and decide to lynch someone today, feel free to keep talking amongst yourselves.

I intend to use Dusk/Nightfall posts both, so you'll have a little bit of warning that I'm back and winding things down before curfew begins.

Yes, and you are a horrible person for even bringing up such a thing!

In other news:

Nope.

Krypsyn: Nothing.

Hunter65536: Something makes me think he's the "crazy" mentioned in OP deciphered by Bookwyrm.
Typically, I don't think a player knows he's crazy, at least where roles are concerned. That could be part of the bastard modding bler referred to.
So if orange is the new black, and L-2 is the new L-1, can medium be the new large??

and does that T-shirt come in 2XM??
Heading out. Y'all be good, now.

Or bad is okay too, if that's your thing.
While I don't like some of the reasoning of Hunter's posts, what I don't see is a consistency with being scum. While it's always possible, I find it more likely his No-Lynch is because he believes it might be helpful because it's Bler modding, than he being scum and willingly drawing attention to himself by advocating a "No-Lynch". As such I have him very slightly leaning town at this point and will not be joining his wagon unless I see something more objectionable.

RWarehall: I'm not going into detail, but I'm anti-Arsonist oriented. Now, either the mod is messing with me (and the rest of us) and there is no Arsonist at all, or we have to worry about an Arsonist which makes the late Day double-voter power even more useless...
If your claim is true, that lends credence to the OP flavor containing truth as well. Even though it’s an asterisk short, “secreting away the **** extin******?” certainly does look like “fire extinguisher”.

Here is adalia’s original letter:
If you are reading this, I have likely been ******* ****. Traitorous scum, scum here! And cops, and two *******, though one is a nov*** and the other *****. And vanilla! Also, chocolate! And ask yourself, why is * so jealously secreting away the **** extin******? It makes no sense! Help us, *bi-Wan, you’re our only hope! Somebody’s poisoned the waterhole!

Here is Bookwyrm's solution:
"If you are reading this, I have likely been fatally dead. Traitorous scum, scum here! And cops, and two doctors, though one is a novice and the other crazy. And vanilla! Also, chocolate! And ask yourself, why is I so jealously secreting away the fire extinguishe? It makes no sense! Help us, Abi-Wan, you’re our only hope! Somebody’s poisoned the waterhole!"

The asterisk in “why is * so jealously...” is possibly an initial. “Novice” seems pretty reasonable. “Doctors” and “crazy” both work in the context, but other roles and adjectives will work as well. “Doctors” is probably the most common role that fits. “Fatally dead” sounds odd, one or both of those words probable needs tweaking – the idea is probably the same.

Abi-Wan - I haven’t seen the neweset Star Wars yet, is this a new character? Otherwise, I wouldn’t trust Bookwyrm’s ability to recall Star War’s trivia. :-p

What does “And vanilla! Also, chocolate!” mean? bler mentioned in the sign-up thread that no-one would be pure-vanilla. Perhaps it refers to that?

It’s kind of fun to ponder, however, I don’t think we should put too much stock in this yet. The coming days should help us determine whether this is pure flavor or not.
