Part 2: Or make me wait the full 10 minutes. Meanies.

avatar
flubbucket: How the hell did this get started??
avatar
yogsloth: Bookwyrm and dedo are Scum. But they're not on the same team as P1na and adalia. They've been fencing with each other all Day. dedo thinks they have identical roles among the two teams. Leonard is on one team, but don't know which, presumably adalia's. At least one more mafia is among the lurkers.

That about the sum of it, gentlemen?
Well considering you have at least on thing wrong...

avatar
Krypsyn: The bit about the two claimed roleblocks/jailings is the tip of the iceberg. The way some people are subtly (or perhaps not so subtly) broaching the subject of multiple factions is interesting, as well as how others are quick to smack down such discussion.
See, I was going to say something about this too. But know everybody's gonna be like "Look at him! Copying Krypsyn! Why he no use his own noggin????"

avatar
yogsloth: Oh man, I hope you're Town.
So you are going to vote for his pick, but you don't know if he's town. Right.

avatar
bler144: Perhaps there's something else driving the "multiple factions theory," but the heart of it to date seems to be the two claimed and mirroring night actions.
Sorry, that doesn't hold up. Just a couple games ago there were three blocks. And not a peep about multiple factions. Some people know something.

avatar
bler144: Not sure I follow that bolded part. I re-read Leonard over N1, and almost all of it again last night. I absolutely agree he's not scum-hunting.
Nice to know we all agree on that part.

avatar
bler144: Not sure what he is doing, but I didn't read most of what you describe to be as nefarious as you did, as much as it seemed like an attempt to be present without being present - that he wasn't really concerned if yogs or P1na were the lynch either way. Whether or not he was surprised that P1na flipped scum, I did get the sense he wasn't particularly invested in what the flip would say beyond how it reflected on him. Likewise, looks to me like he was inquiring about yog's claim without being actually concerned. Same for piling on wyrm's question to Ix and then ghosting.
Not sure how you got that I didn't care who was lynched. I think it was pretty obvious I didn't want P1na lynched. I was dead wrong about him, but at the time he didn't want him lynched. So basically, I'm asking about a bunch of stuff that I don't care about. I don't see how that makes sense.

avatar
bler144: He's in my top 3, no question (though probably #3). I am a bit reminded that in #28 he was lurking up the dickens, we pressured him, and he just kept lurking. Eventually he claimed and was toast as a policy lynch (town nexus). The one role where he excelled was neutral survivor, and while his voting makes me pretty sure that's not what he is as a role, it does seem that survival is his end, for whatever reason. Scum, power role trying to not be a target to anyone, town vanilla who's confused and waiting for someone to bring investigative detail to the table, neutral whatever, IDK.
I remember that too. I if I recall correctly the people pushing for my lynch were scum. Doesn't help us too much here because every man and the dog have said they think I'm scummy.
He he, neutral survivor was fun to play. I would like to be SK sometime :D or Town Arsonist. As for surviving this game, true, but I don't see why that makes me scummy.

avatar
bler144: Will I vote him to avoid no lynch? At least based on what's on the table, yes. I'm not holding my breath that "pressure" will clarify his alignment, but am happy to be proved wrong.
I'm trying to remember if pressure votes have every really worked.

avatar
bler144: Now someone gets you looking at Leonard and instead of going at him in your normal fashion, you've made a "grand analysis," which certainly is something I would do, so I'm not pointing fingers that someone would do it. It just feels a bit...surprising...of a swing coming from you. I would have expected you to use your insights to cross-examine him before eventually making a hard case. Laying it out in advance as you did seems more like a play to convince others.
Nah, he does do big analysis like this sometimes.

Someone (I think bler? Could be wrong) said something about how everybody on my wagon is on for different reasons. Isn't that odd? Basically people are just jumping on in whatever way suits them. Like trentonlf above for "pressure". Ix is probably going to join soon as its a rolling wagon, who knows what reason he'll choose though...

Whew, how do you people write walls of text all the time? That took me almost an hour.
avatar
Leonard03: I haven't seen anything that pings my scum meter.
Nothing. Hmmm...Have you checked to see if it needs new batteries?

Maybe try turning it off and then back on?

Winner Winner!!!!
What did I win?

I will reply to you after Leonard03 is done posting.

I'm done! Forever! No more, ever again!
Mwa ha haaa!

Don't look so happy.

I'm sure blar144 is somewhere out there waiting with great anticipation, as am I.

I've always heard it as Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

Leonard03: 1) Sorry, that doesn't hold up. Just a couple games ago there were three blocks. And not a peep about multiple factions. Some people know something.

2) As for surviving this game, true, but I don't see why that makes me scummy.
2) Oh, on its own it wouldn't. Cristi's been pretty lurky, flub has arguably been lurky outside of answering a few questions and sitting on yogs. Lurking can be a valid survival tactic.

The difference is that cristi's posts (at least D1, I haven't re-read D2) read crystal clean. That could simply be a function of posting less and more carefully controlling, whereas you do at least occasionally splash in the mud with us. So maybe the mud on you is incidental and not signifying anything.

But your vote on Krypsyn was what put you on my radar. In and of itself that's not a reason to lynch someone, but...you haven't done a lot to make it look like your "pro-town" either. For a townie particularly survival is really secondary to winning. We're the Soviet army - we win through attrition, товарищи!

As case in point, as town I've survived til the bitter end of both games I played. Lost both.

1) Now see, there's an interesting observation! I had not put that together. So....ok, what do you think it means? Who does it point to knowing what? Is person A speculating where person B slipped? Run with it!

You're pretty good at playing defense, but frankly at least speaking for myself I really can't evaluate what you're doing without seeing at least a bit of actual offense.

Look at yogs - he's always offensive! (j/k) But seriously, it's one thing to just sit back, and I find it hard to believe there's nothing at all catching your interest.
avatar
flubbucket: This is nagging me.

I feel like I'm in a room with people conversing and suddenly realize the people around me are talking about NAMBLA.

How the hell did this get started??
avatar
trentonlf: What is NAMBLA?
I only know the Nabla operator. Which is used in maths. But I don't know what a nambla is or what it does.
The paranoia in the room is so thick you could cut it with a knife. Alliances form and fall apart in a matter of moments, while everyone stares suspiciously at everyone else.

The sirens don't help. Someone sends out to learn what is going on, and is told that the police are raiding a bootleg operation.

Which somehow seems appropriate, considering the atmosphere in the council room...

Are you saying he's mocking me?!? I guess I should have known better since it's flubbucket we're talking about. Then again, if the prize had anything to do with that Boy's Club... "shivers*

Cheers for that, got a good chuckle.

I'm referring to game #27. I've not gone back to re-read it, but from what I recall, he did not act like in this game.

You do have a tendency to get in the way of other people's tactics, you know that?

I don't know what you perceive as my "normal fashion", but such analysis are not really uncommon for me. I do them for a reason when I do them, and it's not always to convince others. And the reason I did this one, is because Leonard03 is super sensitive about the things that are said about him, and always comes to address them point by point. That's the best way I've found to get him to talk. And look, it worked.

Now I have to read everything carefully to do the "cross-examination" you mentioned.

Heh, sorry about that. Seems like you got what you wanted anyway, so clearly I didn't get in the way too much.

But holy crap are you smarter than me if you have customized approaches to certain players. lol

I'd say "good eye," but it seems a bit too on the nose.
Need to run a bit of catch up, I see.

In the meantime
Unvote Ixam.
Vote Leonard.
