HypersomniacLive: ........<snip>.........
You forgot to put you own, and a couple of others', name in that list.
I don't recall you going after any of the above for the reason you say though.
If that is indeed the reason you're voting yogsloth, why him and not one of the others that are playing this game?
And since when anything Krypsyn does must make him town? I thought it was the opposite.
........<snip>.........
Also CSPVG isn't even playing. The list is examples.....of course you knew that right??You forgot to put you own, and a couple of others', name in that list.

15 min check-in. Not caught up.
One of them is yogs; one of them is adalia. What do you conclude?
I'm aware of that. But silly =/= lying, a la the joke that Hijack thought was lame.
______
Question for yogs (assuming no one else has asked):
How did you read your odds of being the D1 lynch before the play? Average, above average? You'd noted you thought you had some payback votes coming. So, above average, right? Ballpark how high? I'm fairly certain you considered it.
How did you read your odds of being the D1 lynch if you did make that play? You had noted somewhere in this game that you think Wyrm wouldn't have been lynched in game 28 if you hadn't pushed him. So, specific scenarios aside, if you were scum wouldn't you tend to think you could make this play and walk away from it?
Not asking if you are scum - asking you to analyze if you think you would make that play as scum. Krypsyn thinks no; I think yes. You think...maybe?
Do you feel like the play you made significantly changed your risk of getting lynched on D1?
<Reads on in thread, reaches P1na's post> Wait, what? This seems like asking for votes. Why you do this? Have to go and didn't even get caught up, but going to re-read today's posts later.
Krypsyn: No change. Words mean things. Often they mean more when they are said in a indirect manner (e.g. jokes, sarcasm ... metaphors).
So two people say "Yes, the Foo Fighters are soooo good." One of them is yogs; one of them is adalia. What do you conclude?

Bookwyrm627: He said he'd normally call me on role fishing, but this time wanted to see it. Also repeated the "Yog could be vanilla" idea, which I still haven't seen any evidence for.
trentonlf: If you believe yogs to be town I would think you would hope yogs was vanilla, because if he is town and offered up a power role for scum it's a bad play on his part. Of course as I said earlier he could have a role that's dangerous to scum if they come around and he wants them to visit him at night or maybe he is hoping we have a watcher who can catch scum if they do visit him. Unfortunately it often winds up as a policy lynch.

Ixamyakxim: What am I missing about bler? I'll openly admit I was starting to develop a blind spot for him as, something about the tone and type of his posts had me feeling like he wasn't someone I should be worried about.
He is floating like a butterfly, but failing to sting like a bee. HypersomniacLive: You seem to be nitpicking for the sake of nitpicking out of context, and I have no interest in keeping this silly game going.
Heh. bler144: So two people say "Yes, the Foo Fighters are soooo good."

Out of context, and just knowing their expressed feelings from past interactions? One of them is yogs; one of them is adalia. What do you conclude?
adliabooks likely means that he likes the Foo Fighters.
yogsloth likely means that the Foo Fighter are lame.
What is more important, at least in terms of Mafia, is why each of them chose to bring up the Foo Fighters at all. The answer to that might actually be the same for each. For instance, someone could have mentioned going to a Foo Fighter Concert, and they are both reacting to the same stimulus.

This line of questioning is probably not going to be fruitful, as there is no set of answers I can provide that wouldn’t be seizable as LAMIST and make easy fodder for accusations of being false. I’ll turn it around on you – let’s say I gave a full set of answers to this, and it wasn’t what you were expecting. Would you change your mind, and remove your vote? Or would you rationalize that my unexpected answer could only be the result of attempted Scum manipulation? How did you read your odds of being the D1 lynch before the play? Average, above average? You'd noted you thought you had some payback votes coming. So, above average, right? Ballpark how high? I'm fairly certain you considered it.

I’m sort of past trying to talk you out of anything, anyway. Your capacity for evolving your own logical arguments is… labyrinthine and impressive. :) If you really want to know my thought processes as Town vs. Scum, it would make more sense to answer this after the game is over.

I should have refreshed before hitting the post button.
Must say I'm impressed, and not in a good way.
Of course I knew that, but that doesn't invalidate my points, which you chose to ignore.

I'd much rather do you (maybe yog) to be honest. But if we have time, I wouldn't mind seeing a few more votes on drealmer to perhaps persuade her to spill the beans on whether or not we have a serial killer to be concerned with.
Unless people think I should drop this line of questioning and hopefully leave it for another day?

Superficially caught up.
Dropping it for now.
Fair enough. I was typing while having a conversation with a toddler and as soon as I hit post knew the question was way too convoluted. FWIW, I also knew with fair certainty 36+ hours ago that you weren't going to be the lynch, barring a complete absence of alternate targets emerging.
I think I noted in a post a few nights ago that I expected both Flub and Trent to bounce off eventually, and had a bit of a bet (against myself) going on which would bounce first. Trent wins!
@Yogs - Let me ask one that is presumably more straightforward:
Can you (yogs) see any scenario in which you, as scum, would make this play? Yes or no.
In any case, this could well be me with blinders, but I still feel personally that this is exactly a play that yogs would make as scum. If not this time, he's now set himself up to do it next time it fits. And yes, that drives me nuts. (Yar!)
As for the field, I'm not voting Drealmer today, at least not for that. The two people on this site I talk to most outside of game are...yogs and drealmer. So right or wrong, I at least think I understand them better. And perhaps I'm overreacting to yogs precisely because of that relationship.
But in drealmer's case I'd bet a hypothetical dollar he is town and talking about serial killers either a) hypothetically, or b) because he's convinced himself there's one in the game. It was discussed in the signup thread, after all, though personally I thought Lift was bluffing. WIFOM of course.
Anyway, drealmer did the same thing a ton last game, and while I see his posts being a bit more refined, it still seems the same core style of tossing out ideas (when he is present). If we see evidence that there is an SK, it's worth coming back to this, but this is not a wagon I'm joining today.
P1na, on the other hand...I'd let that go if it were a new player. But at least technically he's been in more games than me. And he doesn't even have the excuse yogs put out that it was to start conversation. And his follow-up has been poor. I would definitely join that wagon to avoid no lynch.
In the meanwhile, sitting on a wagon that's going nowhere and observing.

That I follow, but I haven't put together how it fits into this conversation. Don't have time to go back and add 2+2, and not really expecting you to do it for me. Maybe I'll have time to go back and figure out what your deeper implication N1, and I don't think my understanding is make or break for D1 anyway. Dropping it for now.

But that isn’t more straightforward. Can you (yogs) see any scenario in which you, as scum, would make this play? Yes or no.
Or, let me hit you from another angle:
Recall that you’re not voting for me because of this aforementioned “play”. You’re voting for me because of a joke I made to Krypsyn – one that was utterly inane, and had no bearing on anything factual or game-related. But you talked yourself into believing there were subtle shades of meaning attached.
Go back and read and [url=http://www.gog.com/forum/general/forum_mafia_32_booze_blood_and_bullets_the_prohibition/post142]this again and recall that you came up with all of before I made my soft-claim. You began with the conclusion that I was Scum and back-filled in the reasoning before I’d even started actually playing the game. Then when I got out of RVS and dropped the friendly digs at other players, everything I did or could have done became reinforcement for the conclusion which you already had.
I can’t lead you by the hand.
