Well, why don't you f***ing explain it to me then? flub accuses me repeatedly of "disinformation", which I absolutely have not done, and votes me for my play being yog "always does that". It's not playstyle? It's not repetition? Well then...?

Since you seem to have such a keen understanding of flub's motivations, how about YOU tell everybody all about it?

I was a little curious about you because you switched up playstyles, but I was willing to toss that up to a new player trying a few different things. I could just as easily have gone to P1na for many of the same reasons I went with yogsloth but I'm with adalia on this - we need to know more here:

He said he'd normally call me on role fishing, but this time wanted to see it. Also repeated the "Yog could be vanilla" idea, which I still haven't seen any evidence for.

It's perfectly fine, unless you are bartering scum favors for it.



I don't have understanding of his motivations but he never based his swing at you on what you said last (attacking a person just because they play in a similar way to the previous game). It is that, yes, but it's taken out of context. He saw your plays as non pro-town before and saw the current one in the same way. He is attacking a recurring behavior he see as not pro-town. I'm extremely confident that he wouldn't attack a player that makes the best Town movies every game just because he does it every game. Do you see what I mean now?

If you believe yogs to be town I would think you would hope yogs was vanilla, because if he is town and offered up a power role for scum it's a bad play on his part. Of course as I said earlier he could have a role that's dangerous to scum if they come around and he wants them to visit him at night or maybe he is hoping we have a watcher who can catch scum if they do visit him.

The thread has been relatively quiet most of the day. I just know it is going to blow up in about an hour, when I no longer have the time to really watch and post. If I believe Yog to be town, then I can't believe he is vanilla. It simply isn't an option for his soft claim. If he is vanilla, then either he lied or I missed a place where scum false claimed a vanilla role.

I've already stated I'm not going back through the old game threads to look for extra scum false claims; that wasn't the fun part the first time around, and there isn't the lure of the running the deduction to help me get through a second search. Therefore, I'm using the results I have. If anyone (at all) wants to go through and find a game where 1) Yog participated in any(!) capacity, and 2) scum false claimed vanilla, then I'll drop the line of questioning. Until then, I'm going to wonder about people that push the possibility of him being vanilla.

Now this I agree with. Not entirely, since I don't know neither one's alignment, but I do see the possibility for him being wrong (accidentally or by intention). My main problem with your case was that based it on stuff taken out of context or twisted around. Just like with flub this may be by design or not on purpose at all. It's just like in court - you may have pinned down the culprit but he walks away in the end just because your proof was collected illegally. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to defend him or you at that matter. I'm trying to make sure the result is based on proper arguments and reasoning.

I see your point, but in this instance if yogs is town I actually hope he is lying and is vanilla. About the only way it's a good play (imo) for him to actually have a power role and blurt it out for scum to know is if it's a role that can hurt scum if they visit him at night. Either way it still rubs me the wrong way that he even did it, but that ship has sailed and trying to determine his role or non role isn't what we should be doing.

Assuming he IS town, of course. If he isn't, then the whole thing is moot anyway.

Thing is... my point is not about who you rolled, only why and when you did it, and how you went about to justify it.

I wouldn't know if you did, but is this your defence? The way you keep responding when asked to explain yourself is not doing you any favours, quite the contrary I'd say. I don't know what your alignment is, but what you hinted at doesn't sound at all like you're town, and if you are, then it's far worse than if you aren't. On top of that, you want us to take your word that if what you say sounds really bad it's the exact opposite? Not good enough.
