adaliabooks: I'd expect a post from him just before a lynch is achieved addressing points long since forgotten by the rest of us that make no sense in the context of whatever the current conversation is at the time...
But I could be wrong...
He he he. That was funny.
Hiiiijaaack, wheeeerrrre arrrrre yooooou?
For sitting on my post, you'd think I would have used the opportunity to proof-read. A few cases of poor WC, but ah well.

Agree with yogs that we should at least try to talk about something else.

On non-yogs topics:
Where's drealmer? Why is he voting for Letitflow? Is sniffing everyone's breath just RP and can he be talked into not RP-ing, at least on D1?

HSL is online. The ever-seeing eye is watching. Don't suppose he wants to check-in with anything?

Is P1na channeling Flub?

Refresh
Lol @ 224/225. I was considering talking about Hijack, but wasn't going to do so until those posts. But since we're there - it is pretty early (24 hours in). I mean, I'm not holding my breath that he'll be super active, but it's possible. At least from memory the two games where he was lurkiest he was scum both times, and even in game 29 he was fairly active D1.

Though that may just be because he was still on summer break at that point.

yogsloth: \Don't think we're not noticing those of you with your lights on deliberately avoiding confrontation, btw!

Heh.

He also seems nicer if he's scum. So look out for a polite HijacK! :P
Looks like we're out of RVS?

Unvote Bookwyrm 627*

Need to catch up, but had a big dinner with some friends earlier, and feeling a bit sleepy - but it was worth it!
So, sorry yogsloth, confrontations are bad for digestion.
I'll try to resist it and read from where I left off yesterday, but no promises.

*because that's who I voted

<goes and re-reads prior game> Are you sure about that?

Ok... before that game. I'm thinking yogsloth's game.

Leonard03: Ok... before that game. I'm thinking yogsloth's game.
So...you're saying this thing he did once is a clear tell?
avatar
trentonlf: @yogs, if you are town why reveal a power role to move the game along? I can't think of a good reason.
avatar
yogsloth: Is "I'm a suicidal moron" a reason? Do you get the feeling we're all missing something obvious?
I'm a suicidal moron is not a reason, you're too smart a player for that. But you've seen how bad this is for town so why do it? I keep trying to determine a good pro town reason to announce "hey I have a power role" on day 1 before we have any real info to go on and I'm not finding one. At a later point in the game it's inevitable that someone with a power role will need to reveal that because of knowledge they need to share, but why on earth would you do it on day 1 unless you are scum trying to put up a smoke screen of LAMIST because if you're not scum all it does is give scum a chance to kill a power role.

bler144: So...you're saying this thing he did once is a clear tell?
I think he did it in another game too. But I can't remember which one.

Well, it did kinda worked in the game with the gimped roles, even if only due to scum not sharing all the information they should have shared.

I think each game he intentionally tries to play against any kind of meta, which is ironic since he will usually piss off someone.

To assume HijacK is town or scum based on his attitude is unwise.

It did work with the restrictions game, but that was a broken game IMO because of how that went down. I'm so anti PM/role discussion this early in a game that I am probably overly biased :-/

By itself the claim wouldn't have made me vote for him. Though I voted for him prior in any case.

After all, he may not have a great role and he may conceive drawing fire as a good play for town. Plus it can be WIFOMed like crazy - It may draw protection, just maybe he is bulletproof, etc. etc. etc.

Thus, while I'm not at all surprised you voted for him, and it would have raised my eyebrow if you hadn't, frankly, that alone doesn't strike me as a compelling reason to vote by itself. But then, it's not my personal pet peeve.

My concern is really the 'entire package' of what he was doing in those first 24 hours, and particularly that short span. Though I do get the sense that it's possible his soft claim as a follow-up to my vote was something of a non-game peace offering (admittedly that response is likewise something of a non-game response and most people may have no idea what I'm talking about), and that even if he anticipated your vote he probably wasn't concerned about it.

Forgetting all this, and that the real downside of his gambit is that "this" is still pretty much the only thing on the table, for a moment, is there anything/anyone else at all that has your attention/curiosity so far? Flub/Leonard/Adalia/Ix/me/Wyrn/etc.? Concerns we're moving too fast/too slow?

I suppose that's not just for Trent but for anyone.

Given your stated distaste, IIRC, I feel fairly certain you didn't order the hot dogs.

Have you ever taken a bite of a chocolate chip cookie, only to find out that the 'chips' were, in fact, raisins?
