I figure about 5.3 hours to the Crisis resolution. It's happening at 20:30 GMT, which is 16:30 EST. It's now 11:10 EST, which gives 5.3. Is that right?

There were some good things addressed, I hope, in the logs above, it's quite a lot, I know, get to it piece-meal if you can, as, I think it helps the situation be clearer to see everything that unfolds. But I also agree, a lot of it is needlessly superfluous or redundant or just unnecessary at this point, as krypsyn and others have commented on at this point, time to just get the votes from everyone, count them, deal with the crisis when its time-limit is up, and move the situation forward. No point much in dickering around with all the nuances and stuff at this point.

I think that is a fair strategy for Ix, he said his piece, made it clear, and now the choices are up to be made by every individual. No one seems to be continuing to argue for voting for him very strongly and not enough people have voted for him to make him it, so, yeah, we can all just do what we can do and see where we're at once things move a bit.

I doubt it. We are usually presented with a clear deadline and we aren't facing one right now. Unless the crisis triggers premature day end in some way we should be good.

And I admit I'm a bit guilty of going into standby mode waiting for the outcome of the Crisis Event. I realize there could be negative consequences to failing a lynch before that happens, but I don't think it's that likely.

And yog, this is the second time you've seemed to mention a deadline. Now, I get it - no one likes a brisk and aggressive game of Mafia more than I do - but I've made my feelings known about how easy I think it is for scum to sneak in unscrutinized deadline voting and the fact that you'd (seem?) to push for a deadline is a bit alarming to me.

This is why I fought with Bookwyrm627 is Game #28. Town isn't usually helped by scummy plays. Now, we may get some useful information from this later in the game, but I don't see any forthcoming at present, and he hasn't said that he meant it for an info-gathering gambit.
However, I see no way for this play to benefit scum, so I don't presently think he's an intruder.

I'm going to muse on various possibilities related to PM stuff and general mechanics. Don't worry! I won't go spilling any more of mine.

The stats are linked to the role or lack thereof. This would seem to indicate that the stats will play a part in the night actions.

The stats are linked to name and rank. Here there are two further possibilities that I see.

Name and rank is linked to alignment. Then we have stats, name, rank, and alignment all coming together in one big package. I think this would help with balancing, but it would probably be a nightmare of initial setup.

Name and rank is not linked to alignment. Then we have stats, name, and rank coming as a package. This doesn't make quite as much sense, because name and rank seem to be flavour, but it's a possibility, and that's all I'm looking for.

The stats are linked to the alignment. This could provide an explanation for Vitek claiming 17 FIN, and it would make thematic sense. However, 17 still seems unlikely and I still don't see a reason for Vitek to actually claim that.

1.3.4
The stats were assigned randomly, just like alignment and role are usually assigned. In this case, stats would have to be carefully balanced, so ensure that scum couldn't randomly have a stat advantage. In this case, I don't see why there would be stat-sums of 15, 16, and 17. Doesn't seem quite balanced, to me.

1.3.5
The name and rank is linked to the role. This would make thematic sense, but it could potentially make claiming very dangerous.

Is our current Team division typical of the rest of the Crisis events?
Are we going to have two and two in every event; e.g. 2 FIN and 2 STR?
Are we going to get larger teams; e.g. 2 INT, 2 FIN, and 1 STR?
Are we going to get larger stat-requirements; e.g. 4 INT?

Well, what do you mean by "required"? The actual function is simple (attached), but your statement doesn't really make sense as, of course, there is theoretically an infinite bound on the number of consecutive same-face flips.

I'm looking for a simple function that will tell me the probability that it will take x flips to observe the same on consecutive flips.
The answer turns out to be (1/2)^(x-1).

e.g.
What is the probability that it will take 4 flips to observe the same face on two consecutive flips?
It is (1/2)^(4-1) = 1/(2^3) =1/8
