You are correct. I was working on the assumption (largely based on RWarehall's stated claim, as it doesn't make sense for it to be passed day to day if he is the Captain) that the role is fixed.
It is of course possible the role gets passed about somehow (and not just when the Captain dies, as seems likely).
As for a town dispatcher letting another player claim their role... I'm not sure. Yes, he could be a townie trying to draw the NK, but that plan (to me) seems to require at least some amount of coordination between two players, which is generally impossible for town. Hence my thinking that they might be some kind of third party (which is far less likely then RWarehall just being straight up town).
If there is no coordination then the dispatcher, seeing someone else lying and claiming their role would presumably out them as scum. At worst it should be a 1 for 1 trade town for scum (which as we know is always worth it) and as town shouldn't lie the assumption would be that the liar was scum rather than town trying to protect the role and draw the kill...

So if “Droid Maintence Bot” is dedo’s role as you say, and either roleblock/jailer/similar is your role, and you won’t reveal your title… what was dedo’s title? I’d really like an answer to this question.

You know, I had this really fun table-flipping hootenanny planned for the start of Day 2. I was 100% convinced we were going to see two nightkills. Daybreak let all the air out of my tires. I was all jazzed up and ready to get stupid with it. I might still do so, one nightkill and everything. There are just too many people behaving strangely all at once. I’ll get back to you.

Strange developments on Space Station Epsilon. We now have two crew members who claim their job on the station is to interfere in the jobs of other members of the station. No wonder the intruders got in...

The strangest of these claims is again HijacK, who claims to be able to prevent someone from doing his job while protecting him, yet he chose not to use this ability. Why? It does not make any sense. If he really suspected my as an intruder, he could have tried to block me. Worst case he would have been wrong and possibly prevented my night kill. Instead, he blocks and protects no one.

Why does the rest of the crew not see this?

Why are so many in the crew grasping at straws as to why I might not be the captain? I do have the one truly verifiable role...

Is this a confirmation that you were the one that committed the night kill? How would I have been wrong if I prevented the night kill you were doing, though? Also, my role is mainly to protect. And frankly 25% of 16 is 4. Unless there are lots of neutrals, which I doubt, there are 4 scum. Thus I wouldn't really bet my money on you especially doing the night kill, even more so after day 1's clash of heads.

Because your logic is flawed and last I checked there is a group of intruders, not one, so chances of you doing a NK are anything from 25 to 33.33%. Furthermore, I never said I can't be wrong. I see your play as scummy, but it was only day 1. Though I have to say, I don't have many more doubts now. The more you post, the scummier you look to me.

Either way, I do believe there are multiple bread crumbs from me all over the place. It should be possible to piece together the rest even without my help.
