Again a day with lots of discussion and no progress towards a Pope. However, the accusations progress all the better and in the end Cardinal Up finds himself the target of an investigation. All his private belongings aren't private anymore but are searched and analyzed. And again, what the other Cardinals find shocks them. No Reformer shenanigans or even any heretic literature. But the secret plans that Up recorded on his phone (because he was too lazy to write) are shocking. It turns out, the only reason he wanted to become Pope is for the chance to slack off and do nothing without anyone being able to critizise him. Actually, checking his record of how he did his job reveals, that he never did anything. Always someone else wrote his articles and he paid for it out of the fortune of his parents. All in all, Cardinal Up is the very embodiment of Sloth and the only plan he has for his Popedom is, to relieve the Pope of all tasks and duties. He just wants to have a good, relaxed time. It is completely out of the question to make him Pope, since a Pope has to travel the world, bless people and show presence. Off with him to the sidelines, where he can relax to his heart's content!

Cat, mchack, and bucktooth voted for all three townie yeets.

All three, I think, are targeting Flocke next.

So between those three and trent, the most likely situation is that somebody is a deluded Townie and the other three are mafia.

I believe joppo, flocke, and pooka are all Town.

The worst thing about this summary is that in the end it will make me a delusional townie.

I do agree that if Trent and or Cat is a reformer the other is a package deal.

I've been sick for almost the entire duration of the game and mostly left to try to figure things out on my own while being accused of not participating enough and offending people. If I get to L-1, I'm going to be very tempted to self-vote.

Oh, man I was on the verge of dancing around, thinking about how well I've scumhunted, with my trent election and how everyone will congratulate me at the end of the game, at how I almost single-handedly won the game and then ... I read yogs was town. The same yogs that was reading the game diametrically different to myself.

Sorry, yogs. But since you are now proven town, and are obviously better at playing this game than I am (I'm still not buying the trent scum thing, but I tend to be wrong, as we have all seen) I will give my vote today to you.
Given that we are at LYLO and a potential wrong vote will be gameover for us, and me not trusting my instincts one yota anymore, I will vote for whoever you think I should vote for. Basically unstumpifying you and stumpifying myself instead.

Once condition, though: I will not self-vote since I am town and this is the only hard evidence on alignment of anybody who has still voting powers left, that I have.

as I said, I'm not trusting myself at all right now. But if I had to guess, I would still think cat and trent are town, because of all their interaction. How cat tried to explain to trent, why she thinks him town, even though he is telling her that she can't trust him to be town. Why do that dance when you are both scum? I just can't believe it.
So if I were correct in at least this assessment. I also believe Pooka to be town, because as scum, he wouldn't have waited so long to hammer you. All the pressure was there to just quickhammer and be one town less and put all the blame on me and be victorious today.

That leaves bucktooth, flocke and joppo as my scumteam.

But as I said I don't trust myself at all. Will not vote for anyone on a whim. I will first re-read and then as you said there should be a long discussion today before any votes are cast.

as for the charts and stuff, hadn't been back on them since cat asked me to be more productive on the forum. Maybe I'll run the scripts tomorrow again and see if there's anything useful to be found.

Don't know what a cop-out is, but I'm not trying to not play anymore. I'm very invested in this game. I just seem to be doing it wrong.

So, again. I mean it. You can have my vote today. From my last two posts, I see that I still am very much invested in my firm believes from yesterday. But I shouldn't have firm believes now. Because this is endgame. One wrong move and it's gameover.

Take Flocke's vote today. You correctly pointed out that townies shouldn't just put a vote out because then scum can just pile on and win in an instant. I took this standing vote and the fact that the game isn't over yet, as yet another sign that it's just a scum-vote in the hope that one townie piles on and then we loose. But only now, hours later, I realized, that it could also be a town vote on scum, something that scum wouldn't at all pile on. So I surmise, that I have a bad case of Confirmation bias.

Secondly, I am well aware that I'm a prime mis-lynch target for town today. Pooka hasn't said anything yet, but being wrong the third day in a row, I know it looks bad. So giving my vote to you and promising, that I will vote whoever you say I should, hopefully appeases those townies who think me scum now. Because as scum why would I do that? I promise no-one is out of the question (besides myself obviously), I will vote who you say.

Hopefully that helps with my confirmation bias. And maybe we can work together. Maybe together we will be able to finally find scum today. Maybe that also helps you stay invested in the game. We could really do with a pro player like yourself right now. What was that plan you had yesterday, that went bust? Also, you said town should listen to you after you get stumped. I'm willing to listen. I am.
