It's a cynical scum post IMO, yes, but even without her posting it - I ain't electing someone unless I'm 100% sure it's Town, and even then...

If we pick a Town pope, which is... 5 to 3... would be... 60% success rate if we just pick randomly, yes, sure, we might end up finding the scum players, if you somehow get the majority to agree and there's only one player left and that player isn't some paranoid Catholic (rightfully or unrightfully so).

So basically scum can take advantage of that in such a way that a Catholic would be the last one abstaining from electing a Pope, thus convincing us to investigate this Catholic and bring them closer to a win. It is not impossible to fail an unanimous vote, after all.

But, if we're unlucky enough to hit the already dangerously high 40% Reformer rate and all Catholics elect the chosen one? Oh well, the reformers can just quick-elect them, boom, game over. It's easier than you may think, seeing as all of us aren't as committed as we ought to be. Also do remember that if the elected pope is a Reformer, chances are high they are self-electing, so only two Reformer quick-elections are necessary.

Now, trent has not given me any indication that he is one of those accursed reformers, but, I have to be really cautious about the trust he garnered that quickly and how almost everyone is preaching his name. It could cost us the game. So I'm not handing Trent the popedom that easily. I understand the desire for a quick and decisive victory and to get the game over with, but I also want to actually win the game and, you know, it's gambits like these that usually end up backfiring.

I never said that I disappear for long periods except to do things like go to bed and sleep. However since sleep is apparently not allowed anymore. It isn't just Flocke as even joppo commented on my lack of activity and overall commitment, I am only going to vote for myself and urge everyone else to do the same.

Didn't I say that I'm confident that I'm confident that scum is hiding among people with low activity. If my activity has been an issue for all of you all this time, you should all be voting me out for that alone..

Besides my apparent lack of commitment and not being active enough, I have been very much downplaying just how sick I am. Since the start of the year, I have been...
* alternating between fever and low body temp (between 95 and 96)
* vomiting multiple times a day
* diarrhea
* severe abdominal pain
* sore throat
^ chills
* really really tied like all the time.

Yesterday I developed a bloody nose. I think it's unrelated and just due to the air being super dry, but it's only adding to my misery. Now since I am on my way out, I'm going to be on bed rest until further notice. Feel free to debate among yourselves as to if I'm actually sick or not.


Okay, it's 4am here. Only awake because I was woken up by the smell of urine. Not in the room - I already checked. It's coming in from outside. There's strays that hang around outside. One of which is an unneutered male that we're trying to catch to get fixed. Going back to bed once the air purifier makes the room not sticky.

I know nothing I could say could accurately describe the pain you're going through, and I'm sorry you have to deal with everything on top of the California smoke. But don't let anyone commenting about your activity let you down, in-game or IRL.

You've made 65 posts, in comparison to my 25, or Joppo's stellar 10, or Flocke's 13 combined with Scene's 9. The game has 364 posts including this post, yours, and anything before it. I don't need to do maths to tell you that a seventh of the thread is your content.

I’m so sorry you’re this sick and I hope whatever is causing your issues can be resolved soon because it sounds absolutely miserable. **HUGS** Don’t let this bring you down so much that you give up though, self voting is so bad. I really believe you’re Town, please don’t hand scum the game. If you’re lynched and flip Town like I believe you will, what info do we garner from your wagon? Anyone would be justified voting you if you give up. If you’re scum then I guess I’m a fool and should be thanking you for giving up, but I can’t see that being the case.

Your scenario is banking on trent being town. Trent is a very good (scum) player. The game I keep thinking back on, he won the game for scum, because he was townread by pretty much everyone. Yeah, I know, you still don’t see how that’s a problem.

Ooooooh, I could have upped my score a lot by making every reply a separate post. Silly me.

Townies, if you are being scum, to help your fellow scums win. Please noting I am not good at the game, so I throw out ideas in hopes they might somehow give fellow townies ideas to work with or build on. It also does not helping much that IRL (and mental difficulties like seasonal depression) is interfering with my online stuffs yet again.

But since there are no verified town PRs that's impossible in this game. What then?

Winning the game is being fun and all, but not at the cost of enjoyment. I thinking sometimes it's better to just enjoy it, even if it means playing silly. Of course I knowing some players don't agree but that's what makes this more fun!

I am very sorry to read that you are so sick! What a bad start to the year. Perhaps you should indeed take a break, concentrate on getting well again and maybe even go to a hospital?

But as a side note: it is good that the degrees you wrote of are in °F not in °C! ;-)

I am 100% convinced that Trent is town. However the explanation for why is not short, and I don't have the energy to go into any long explanations... plus I want to finish writing this.

You'll notice that Flocke (formerly Scene) has been specifically targeting me and acting like it's entirely unreasonable for me to be offline for any reason plus my thread participation has been always lacking. (And by the way, Flocke is offline again.) I think that I was picked because I indicated that I'm sick and the goal is to push me past my breaking point so that I'll prioritize my health and just refuse to participate.... so that even if I'm not actually voted out, I'm effectively eliminated through non-participation.

I also noticed that after I voted for myself the second time that Flocke started making comments about Trent. As if scum was over there thinking that they got rid of me for good, so decided to turn their attention on getting rid of Trent. Why are they so afraid of Trent?

Also I noticed that before being substituted with Flocke, Scene was in the process of starting something with Pooka on Day 1. One thing I've observed about Scene is that once he's formed an opinion about someone, he's going to die on that hill about them. He doesn't strike me as someone who is devious enough to go after a scum teammate on Day 1. It would also look super suspicious if he backed off at any point. For this reason, I'm inclined to believe that Flocke (formerly Scene) being scum also means that Pooka is town.

Joppo looks like he's participating when he posts, but I feel like he really doesn't say anything of any real substance that hasn't already been been said by someone else. It's like he's picking his battles carefully and trying to not take any risks. More accurately, he looks a lot like I do when I am scum.... Except that I tend to look more town than the town.

Mchack started to actually participate after I gave him the frustration vote. I think he's actually trying to solve things for reals, so I think he's town.

That leaves Yog. This guy has been odd. On Day 1, he acts like he wants to be my BFF. On Day 2, he's acting like one of my cats peed in his coffee. I've been over here wondering who would be the person who tries to make a serious move against Trent and not just makes micoaggression jabs. It turns out that person is Yog. He has to know that there's zero chance of Trent getting voted out today. I think that it's just a pretense to not be voting with his teammates with the goal being that town votes all over the place, and scum team gets to use its abjudicator to decide who is eliminated. Yes, I am saying that Yog is both death robot from the future and scum. I'm very disappointed in Yog.

Wow. You seriously think if I was scum my big plan would be to get me elected to win? There's no way in hell I would ever consider something like that because I know full well it would never work, it would be a fools gambit. Why are people trying to elect me? I'm sitting here trying to fathom a reason you would do this as scum, and I don't know what your play is here because if you somehow manage to convince people this is legit and get me lynched, you'll be the next on the chopping block. I've tried several times to get you to open up this game to get a feel for you because you are always hard for me to read, you've ignored every question I have asked you except when I asked you something not game related (the metal band question), otherwise crickets.

I've had you as neutral because you've been so absent, and you are usually more invested as scum, but I can only think you're changing things up because of the format and lack of activity from most people. If you're Town doing this then I sure hope it doesn't cost us the game.

I would buy Yogs as scum all day, their first seemed like they were either disinterested in the game or trying really hard to post without adding a ton of substance to avoid being scrutinized(and before anyone says anything, yes I realize that could describe me at this point as well)

Flock and Joppo I would have to re-read, but it is clear flock is tunneling on you. Also not that you need to hear it, but the claims of your lack of participation are unfounded. No matter how paranoid I get about you being a sly scum I would never argue the amount of effort you have put in the game so far.
