Yep, of course there are a lot of variances that can go on with the tracker and all of it can mean varying things depending, and the tracker has to consider all of that. That is why I said most simply the tracker could determine, for certain, if a player is not the CL, and that only. That doesn't exclude all of the contingencies that you've noted, and others.
I don't see it as a problem if the tracker tracks the deprogrammer as long as they are aware that just because they might see someone do something to someone that it doesn't mean they're the CL. And since it is an open setup, the tracker does know that, and so, it's not really an issue, and, again, actually useful information for the tracker as things progress, and that is what makes N1 valuable to one degree or another for town, and why I think no-lynch is okay.
Again, to restate the general position I hold:
On Day 1, if any townies know it is possible that town will gain something N1, then no-lynch is valid D1. This doesn't mean it is the only option I consider on D1 if that is possible, but I'm definitely more inclined in these situations than others. Sure, if someone acts culty or there becomes reason to vote to lynch someone (liiike, anyone want to make a case for lynching anyone?), I certainly will consider voting them, but ummm, right now, nope, no one. The only one I'm finding slightly suspicion is, well, my FoS is on him. (grrr that bolding error!)
to reiterate because of that bolded mess:
FoS RW for posting only in youtube links...it makes me...uncomfortable...
