This thread has a low rating for every single post. My post just became low rated within fifteen minutes of posting it. How many down votes are required to cause a low rating, and can the moderators identify and remove the account(s) responsible?

I think you need about 5dvotes for low rated to appear
moderators probably don't have the tools for it, but someone who could access the database directly could

Some brain damaged guy / guys use auto-downvote scripts. It used to be that ''low rated'' meant something, but those times are gone now. Just ignore it, or think of it as helping someone cope with their issues.

I don't think u need to worry bout your REP... caz it doesnt matter here..as far as i know,,, and people who don't have anything to do... they need to find something nd downvoting is a nice one ig.. After all they are your Fans.. so treat them WELL.. :)

That is a simple discussion on why cookies break the website use when moving between countries, and yet all posts are downvoted. It’s probably also contributing to decline of posts on here, perhaps it’s gog themselves wanting to shut the website down completely and only focus on galaxy, who knows. End of days for the website in any event.

Downvote the mods then they might get the message. Someone do a GDPR request for it.

Maybe if the moderators all start getting low ratings, they will notice and do something about it...

But it's obviously bots, set to attack specific threads or search and find specific people. Why? I don't know. Maybe they got banned and are butt-hurt... A couple names come to mind, but i'll not mention them.

All you can do is ignore them really, and honestly REP is pretty meaningless.

If it takes 5 downvotes to make a post low rated, then I imagine you are looking at 5 accounts being responsible for each, which could be bot accounts running a script.

It seems like there are scripts here that target some members, and even all posts in a thread started by one of those members.

Totally childish really, unless the aim is a spotlight on the flawed REP system.

I can understand and relate to someone deliberately hiding posts from those they strongly dislike, but this is way beyond that.

It could also be someone with a high negative count that is fed up with GOG not doing something about it, so are making the issue a lot more visible and trying to force a response from GOG. They've either got other members onboard, maybe in a similar position, or a bunch of false accounts have been created to run downvote scripts.

As I recently found out, and saw the scripts in action, you can actually hide or zap a post without it being downvoted, and such that no-one is aware the posts are hidden, except the person running the script. So clearly someone(s) have got an agenda beyond that.

I wonder how much it takes to undo it or add some.

I can tell you that since I usually give every post either + or - after reading, I noticed that I have lost my rep giving/taking powers. This means that it's either a bug - which I reported to support. OR, that some moderator have taken that ability from me. Which wouldn't be that bad if my own rep would be frozen to 0 as well. I just find it unfair that my own rep ownly grows while I don't have a say on anyone elses. I have noticed that even 1 downvote suffices for "low rating". But I think that someone with high rep has to give you that 1 down vote.

I once sent gog a GDPR request. Their file on me was fairly thorough - but there were notable omissions, namely anything to do with the wishlist (neither which games I voted for, nor the comments I wrote) and the up- and downvotes I handed out on the forum. Now, obviously the website remembers which posts I rated, so that info must be stored somewhere. I didn't push gog on the matter, but it would be interesting to find out why those weren't included.

I don't know how much i can say but trust me, it's not the Mods fault and they probably feel the same way as you. The rep system is broken and only targeted by people trolling, taking the bait is playing their game. It won't change how people view your point in all honesty
