windows984ever: So, Night Dive is also apparently working on System Shock II EE.
I don't know you all, but I'm feeling pretty iffy on that System Shock remake. I dunno...
StingingVelvet: Their work before this has been pretty great, so I wouldn't worry too much. This is a special case with the pre-rendered backgrounds and no source code. They should have left it as is, but they're far from the first company to think people would prefer blur to old aliased backgrounds.
Agreed, especially what I bolded. Naturally not everyone will agree but I think they overall have a solid track record so far.
It would be in Nightdive's interest to convince Alcon to bundle the ScummVM original with the remaster on Steam, but obviously GOG would like to keep it exclusive.

also what is the line at the bottom of the system requirements:
"The original Blade Runner game was developed in 1997 and the depictions of violence that are present reflect that." Some un- politically correct violence or something? Or about the 90s panic about violent video games?
edit: the Steam page mentions more:
"There are also some suggestions or insinuations that minors are engaged in sexual activity."
