wpegg: It's nothing about that group. He refers to "The night of crystal", that was
The Kristallnacht.
I see. That comparison in the context used by Cat doesn't necessarily imply they are fascist. Information about "The night of crystal" damaged the Nazi movement and the comparison could be about how the message was received.
Anyway, Cat can speak for his self.
Even if they are fascist... I don't really care. Based on a lot of posts here there appear to be plenty of socialist and communist and I don't believe freedom of speech should be suppressed.
toxicTom: Thanks for supporting the notion that religions are "created". And the extend...
Well Islam is evolutionary at a point where Christianity has been a few hundred years ago. Conquest with fire and sword propagated by the leaders (the foot folk for the most always prefers to live their lives in peace... but when "god" calls, some will answer...).
The only advantage the Christians has were technological superiority at the time (Gunpowder!).
Nowadays it's rather easy to repel the "wrong crusaders", because we are at an technological advantage, propelled not least by letting go of religious dogmas and embracing science instead.
And yes Christians have had their own "honour killings", they're even in the Bible...
So what's your point? Christianity had it's flaws in the past so now we need to put up with another religion's flaws? Also, have any stats on how many honor killings Christians are involved with now here in present year?
GreasyDogMeat: If true you realize that Christians are the most oppressed religion in the world?
toxicTom: ROFLMAO
You ROFLMAOing in agreement or the 'idiocy' of my statement? I'll say it again: If Ayaan Hirsi is oppressing Muslims then by that definition Christians are the most oppressed religion in the world. There is no backlash to criticizing Christians in this day in age unless you somehow find yourself at a local KKK rally. Even then I'd say you'd be safer doing that then criticizing Muhammad in an Islamic country.
EDIT: Or perhaps you were ROFLMAOing at me misreading it. Fair enough.
Atlantico: No man, wow. Never heard of the Oppression Olympics?
http://geekfeminism.wikia.com/wiki/Oppression_Olympics You think I'm saying that a lone, abused, mutilated black woman is oppressing muslims or islam? That's what you got out of it? I don't even..
Try reading this with a sarcastic voice in your head, while contemplating that she's been banned on multiple occations to speak publically against islam:
Is there anything higher on the imagined "oppression scale" than islam in the west? Evidently not even a black, abused, mutilated woman. Maybe if she was lesbian, that would help. But nah, let's be realistic here.
She's oppressing muslims. My mistake, I read that as two separate points.
