I blink. It's like waking up from a dream, that doesn't want to let you go yet.
Where am I? How did I get here? Last I remember, I was walking down a mossy path in the deep woods. It wasn't easy, saying farewell to family and friends and venture out into the unknown. Looking for ... something. Especially on my own. For the first time in my not-so-short life all alone. I thought I had never been more frightened the last few days. I was wrong. Now I was frightened. Get a grip. Panic will do you no good. Focus, watch, learn. Yes. I look around.
Are those Drows? Every Hafling knows bad luck follows you, as long as you are too close to them. Who are all these people? Heavily armed and those who aren't, with deadly spells at their disposal, I just know. Are they going to war? Against whom? What am I doing here? I'm no warrior.
I slowly slip over to the column between the North and West Tunnel. What is this smaller tunnel for? Isn't the large one enough? Is it a trap? Which one, the large one or the smaller one? I don't know what to do.
I turn my attention back to those in this chamber. There is a Human by the West Tunnel, reaching for a torch, too high for me to get to, so easy for him. Another Human observing him, like I am. That one looks confused. Probably like I did before the fear gripped me. The first Human invites to join him. Is it a trick? To gain what? I don't know. I know nothing about war. He has a sword, not a wooden staff. Paladin, I'm guessing. Probably knows some powerful spells, too. And the Warrior knows how to fight. What do I bring? Yes, I can heal a little, but a Paladin can do more. Near where he stands, there are two Drows. Near me is just one. Are two worse bad luck than one? I don't know.
Listening to the sounds from the metal grates direction getting louder, whatever it is is coming closer. I'm no fighter. I can't get out of here, wherever/whatever here is, alone.
I slowy make my way over to the Human Paladin. Does his invitation extend to someone like me? I will soon find out.
Tanea, Halfling Shaman
Am I allowed to join? I know only defensive spells and one other (if I live long enough for it to present itself ;-) Probably a ton of traps down here and I lack the ability to uncover those), that isn't offensive in itself.
Edit: A lot of text, means a lot of spelling errors. Hope I got them all now.

ConsulCaesar: I turn my sight to the rest of heroes around me, inviting them to join me in the search and vowing to protect their lives and cure their ailments as long as I am breathing.
