wolfsite: Still with Gearbox who is owned by Embracer group. Embracer is the same group that owns THQ Nordic however they tend to be hands off so the studios can decide what they want done with there games.
Warloch_Ahead: That's... good, I guess? I mean, if the people who created an IP can't own it, then handing it around isn't the worst thing as long as it's not locked up. Is the reason it's not on GOG anymore due to some licensing agreement with its new platform? I know one can purchase something like Manhattan Project on Xbox if one finds that to be the lesser evil.
Gearbox got the IP from 3D Realms along with DNF, and when the distribution contracts, Gearbox had it taken down across all platforms and replaced with World Tour everywhere but GOG. Zoom Platform can still sell the Atomic Edition because they have a perpetual license to sell it, granted by 3D Realms, that supersedes Gearbox's ownership of the game and IP.
