Ghorpm: According to my friend (I've sent him your pictures) it's Streets of Rage. He was also very impressed by your drawing talent. He recognized Electra and Max.

Yeah, it's a bit like cheating but I think asking your real life friend is (marginally) better than asking google ;) And fighting games are just not my cup of tea ;)
Yes, it's Streets of Rage 2! A sidescroller beat-em-up with bitchin' music.

I reckon asking your friends is totally fair game.
Planescape: Torment was not the first game with a talking skull ;)

Lol. I looked at the skull. Then I saw the trap door and thought to myself "funny, the cartoon series The Trapdoor also had a talking skull". Then I looked at a pic of the show's talking skull and it has the same shape. Then I noticed that the the show is far older than I thought and that there's a video game of it and that that video game looks VERY much like your picture.

Thus I conclude that it's... *drumroll* The Trapdoor!

Your conclusion is valid :D

Is it APB? (Not a well-considered guess.)

Nope. I'm shocked that the first guess wasn't right. Shocked!

Police Quest was my first thought...

I knew I recognized your excellent Electra drawing. It was driving me crazy as I couldn't remember from where. Streets of Rage 2 is much better than the first one. I also prefer it to the third.

Also it was a wrong thought.
Now i know why my guess was wrong, I was looking at grimwerk's icon, not the drawing. LOL
The screamer slice IS from Dungeon Master.

I agree, the second is the best of the three!

Years after we'd moved out, my brother and I would return home for the holidays and replay various Streets of Rages on the Megadrive. He'd play Axel, and destroy all the tougher enemies with that fiery uppercut. This meant I could afford to play pretty lazily as Blaze.

The Megadrive is gone now, but we still both listen to the soundtrack often enough.

A cup of coffee helps a lot. It's Hitman, isn't it?

Of course it is. Absolution to be exact. I thought the fuss about the "hiding in plain sight" trailer would be enough to make everyone instantly recognize the game.
