It really depends on what you want to play.
Dragon's Dogma is an action-oriented game, where you level up and gather better and better equipment in order to beat bigger bosses. It has a story, but that is merely an excuse for you to go forth and slaughter everything that moves. It is pretty fun for what it is.
Dragon Age is more of a traditional RPG, in all good and bad. It isn't particularly unique about anything it does, but what it does, it does reasonably well. It's been compared on classics like Baldur's Gate at times and that comparison sounds pretty apt to me.
So, it definitely depends on what you want to play and what you prefer.
