Unfortunately there isn't. And the bloody pirates have quasi-complete versions of the games, while the potential customer is basically left out in the dry because he either missed the promotional periods or the promotions wasn't available in his/her country. The only thing that the pirates can't access is the MP side of the game (ME3)

rodrolliv: Maybe Denuvo Anti-Tamper?

JMich: Nah, he said DRM and Denuvo isn't DRM itself. Don't think nightcraw1er.488 would post incorrect stuff now, do you?
I don't know him so no idea, but according to PCGaming Wiki, Denuvo Anti-Tamper is featured as hardware based DRM

http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/The_Big_List_of_3rd_Party_DRM_on_Steam#Denuvo_Anti-Tamper

and the vanilla edition of Inquisition uses it in addition to Origin

Hardware as in if you change you hardward I.E. your Graphics Card or Processor the DRM locks you out of the game?
avatar
Elmofongo: What does Denuvo even do that people perceive it as DRM?
Prevents you from modifying files. So FIFA 15 (for example) that came with Securom and Denuvo went uncracked for a few months. The DRM itself was Securom, but you couldn't remove that without bypassing Denuvo first.
Still waiting for a Mass Effect 3 GOTY-Edition, since the DLC has NEVER EVER been on sale. -.-

From what I'm reading about it, it does use a hardware based key for encrypting the executable, but encryption doesn't make it DRM. The Securom (or whatever else is used) is the DRM, not Denuvo.

And Mass Effect 2 aswell.

I mean EA knows that in time they will have to shut down the servers for Mass Effect 2 and 3's DLC service eventually.

And if they shut down the servers and EA does not release its possible "Remastered" Mass Effect Trilogy with all the DLC included and if the player backlash is loud and big enough they WILL do release it.
Great news! Now I now what to gift to my arch nemesis for New Year!

I doubt there is any other game like this so great to show pure contempt towards human being.

Elmofongo: What extra DRM?

Of all the issues I heard from this game extra layers of DRM is not one of them.
Nah, I was just being facetious. Game of the Year including all extra content, just replace content with drm.

Is that meant to be a dig at me? Sorry, instead of using a generic I will endeavor to list out all the crap the pile into the software which reduces the usability for paying customers.

Indeed, for the next DA game, they are going to employ gangs of people to go round to paying customers and literally kick the crap out of them and their hardware.

Not really. I do assume you do fact checking and do not post erroneous information. If you are in the habit of not doing so, do inform me, and I will treat you as such a person.

Denuvo may reduce usability (can't reverse engineer what's protected by it, causes some overhead when using it etc) but it is not DRM. Feel free to categorize it in the crap pile, just don't put it in the DRM one.
They better release this here this time at least..........
What a poor video.

I have never understood why people are bashing this game. Then again, it's one of my favorite games of all time, so perhaps I'm a bit biased.
Got Trespasser the other day, I havent played it yet, but by all accounts it is supposed quite good and a fitting end to the game.

Hadn't realised I had to provide evidence at each post, will remember this in future, perhaps a disclaimer paragraph as well.

As for the term DRM, yes, perhaps it is no longer inclusive enough with the advances in malpractice over the years. Perhaps we could go with UAB - Untoward Application Behavior. This could then include DRM, plus secretive internet access (VVran/VHelsing example - information checked on my machine), such things such as Denuvo (unverified, merely an extrapolation from the Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denuvo), client requisites (Steam for example which doesn't necessarily mean DRM - unverified, extrapolated from responses by Steam users on here).

We have more chance getting Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition here at least.
