MarkoH01: Easy. You DON'T get the money back you get a store credit which can be used at a later time but only for games also. Then comes the fact that GOG pays this out of their own money. So to support the greedy publisher (yes, that is the way I see it and will always see it - it it were a requirement to use RP everybody would do it) they spent money to keep their customers. Something I don't like to support.
At the end of the day, while I also don't like the whole idea of RP, I'm alright with the solution that GOG has come up with. I'm fine with the money being Store Credit, because well, there are always games on here that I'd buy and actually buy again, even if I already have them on Steam, because they're sold DRM-free.
GOG are putting their own money where their rhetoric is. Even if they can't change the whole industry because they're not big as Steam, they're making sure that at least in some way, you're not getting ripped off by the greedy publishers.
I support GOG because at the moment, they seem to be the biggest company out there that does support non-DRM, and if I can make their presence a little bit bigger, hopefully, their influence on the publishers will become bigger.
