2 is harder. They polished the enemy AI a little and took into account that you'll likely use the side step method to kill enemies. So now more can charge from a distance, and hit faster and harder. Also, outdoors, man!! Both are good games with a lot of user made content available.

Nope and I have never played a dungeon crawler before (unless you count games that happen to have dungeons in them like Skyrim).
