The raven I figured, but beyond that I'm rather confounded. Would Soul Music and Hogfather suffice? Actually, I'm not entirely sure I even read Hogfather... I should do so as soon as I finish Raising Steam (which'll likely take a while - I find far too little peace to read nowadays).

Regarding reading order, I advise one of two methods: either read the books in the order they were written, or read one "sub-series" (Rincewind, The Witches, Death, The City Watch, etc.) at a time, but still in the order those books were written. The first method will ensure you don't miss anything, but the second is likely more enjoyable. My favourite sub-series is The City Watch.

A little bit, yeah, not to mention I'm reading that one in English, while the dozen or so other books I have are in Swedish, except The Last Hero and the Death's Domain companion.

I tried getting them in some form of sensible order, but after a while I just kind of gave up and got whichever one I found regardless of which order they come in - then I gave up entirely on trying to find the whole collection in Swedish, and the next book I found was apparently Raising Steam. I would love to find them as DRM-free ebooks, but try as I might, I can only find them covered in some Adobe DRM mess, which doesn't seem to mesh very well with Linux.

EDIT: I have a slight feeling the language I read Soul Music in might have been one of the reasons I can't remember the N-word. Either that or the Klatchian Foreign Legion.

Oh dear. Yes, I can see how that would be a problem. I really would recommend reading them in English. Pratchett is something of a linguistic virtuoso, much like Douglas Adams, so a lot of nuances are likely to get lost in translation.

I had the same problem when I originally read the Harry Potter books. Someone had given me the first three books in Danish, so I read those like that. When I then bought book #4 in English I was thoroughly confused to begin with, because in Harry Potter most of the supporting characters have "meaningful" names, so they are called something different in Danish. Hence, when I started on book #4 I had no idea who half the characters were, even though it was clear that I was supposed to know them already.
