mqstout: Starcraft 2 isn't a PC game available for purchase. (It's an always online service you pay a one-time subscription for.)
Eh, by that definition the market for pc games is rather limited.

DRM has quite a negative value.

Online services have an extreme negative value. They're less than worthless.

And no, I don't really feel limited. Only from trash AAA, and other unfun junk (MMO, F2P, "engagement"...), really. The overwhelming majority of products, even today, are not in that family.

I don't play games with DRM either, but seems a bit extreme to me to deny they're pc games.
Anyway, as to the main topic, I don't think I would buy anything from Beamdog, they come across like con men with their dubious "remasters" which have led to the removal of original (and cheaper) versions from stores.

I don't deny that games with DRM are games, but products that are wholely online services with just a client? They're not.

iirc you can play single-player Starcraft 2 offline though, you just don't get any "achievements". So unless my memory is playing tricks on me, you don't have to be online all the time.
But I think I mostly agree with you, I have no interest anymore in buying DRMed games from big publishers either.

morolf: ? What about Diablo 2 and Starcraft 2?

mqstout: Starcraft 2
still able to play offline no issues, tho it require some maps for download unless u disc, i just tested it out to remember it all, it's been years

Perhaps they added offline play to Starcraft 2 at some point. It certainly released as a 100% online only product, even for single player. Still not interested in the DRM and funnel-to-online infestation.

I am going to start my S***list with Ubisoft.

I gave Starcraft 2 the back without hesitation due the always online crap.
Now you mention I could play the single player campaign offline... that’s tempting... need further research. Thank you Tistonic

OP - Kind of: the wishlist's gates.
Something important sh*tty devs/pubs often overlook is the cost of getting our attention. Once they scr*w that, they need a huge invest to get themselves out from oblivion. Also their ,,smart minds,, frequently forget their sh*t stinks & sooner or later it floats.
So: Why to dare to try to dumb us?

Not really. The companies I would behold to such a standard haven't made a product I'd be interested in the first place.

I always refer to naughty list you demand, but it would be little complicated for your. You can learn this here as well.

Crosmando: Enjoy not being able to play Diablo 2 Resurrected lol

BrianSim: Enjoying the original here, and in Ultrawide at that. Not "missing" out on a single thing especially if content has been removed in the "enhanced" version and the game is DRM'd up to the eyeballs ("Requires Battle.net DRM and a constant internet connection for all game modes"). LOL, that's no "enhancement" at all, quite the opposite...
The D2 widescreen mod is bugged as fuck though, not to mention that you won't be able to play MP with it. And you won't get the redone 4k graphics.

And all just to make a silly political stand...

Snowslinger: I mean a list where you write down devs and publishers you refuse to buy from for one reason or another? I am thinking of starting one, and would like some ideas.
Well, I don't buy DRM-ed products. So Rockstar and others like them are out. Apart from that only Larian is on my naughty list for the way they treated their customers in Divinity 2 Ego Draconis. The ending was just one big "f* you for playing our game!" message to the players.

I am not into "Blacklisting" anyone. However Its been more than a year since I bought a game on Steam. I have a library of 1000+ games there. I am favoring GOG these days because of their DRM practices and mainly because of the installers that I passionately archive on one of my 10TB Disks.

I also tend to stay away from MMO's and Multiplayer.

I am a single player guy :P - just pls don't tell my wife .
