Oddly enough, the usual crowd that follows the New York Times does seem, to some degree, to be anti-porn, but also anti Christian. These are strange times with even stranger alliances. Notice tear gassing is unacceptable for alot of people, but suddenly China's actions are. I don't know if your aware, but the current government of China, has taken, automatic weapons, and fired into crowds of unarmed protesters in there capital, and as a result, thousands of people were executed. .

I don't understand how you could say that people are hypocritical or compare tear gas, to being fired upon with AK-47's.

I think i've made my offense clear in other posts, especially the ones you obviously have not read. The one you decided to jump in on, in particular, was pointing out that I am surprised at whom i find myself agreeing with here on gog, because normally these same people defend china any other time. It's curious, and i'm more used to sophistry from the left, so perhaps we might want to consider what all might be going on here.

My girlfriend was diagnosed with Kung Flu, and her symptoms are getting worse (she has congenital pre-existing conditions). She's a healthcare professional, and a Trump supporter like me. I remember when blocking flights from china was "racist" because "there's no evidence of human to human transmission." I have evidence that the virus did indeed come from the Wuhan lab, not that you need evidence given the mental gymnastics necessary to explain another vector, especially after what the CCP said about SARS-CoV(-1). I don't particularly care for China's social credit system, and, while I am certainly no fan of Islam, I also don't particularly care for what they're doing to muslims in China. I'm particularly unfond of the left notoriously standing up for China. I could go on for hours, but i think this is enough to extrapolate from.

It's not even a left or right thing, is people not being educated.

If you explain to people that the same Chinese Government as is today, committed genocide on there own population for having a opinion. All of a sudden, there's not going to be to many fans of China.

I believe you underestimate the populace, especially after Trump. There's no point in talking about somethign we all already know and understand. Would you say the same thing about, say, North Korea? How about Trump's deals in the Middle-East? No no, i'm quite familair with the average person's view on china being "not my problem." It's not ignorance, but apathy. This is most likely, however, why this action on gog's behalf changes a few things: the realization that it's no longer "not my problem" anymore.
