just a freelance programmer

oh look...4 words as well XD

but seriously, I get to do what I love and would be doing anyways, get paid very well for it, and get batshit drunk and high as fuck while at it (nothing like skyping in a foreign language while you can hardly think straight XD)

edit: but I think the most important part of it is that I get to choose where I live actually thinking of where I want to live, instead of what I'm going to do for a living

i think this is key to any job.

My job has it's ups and downs and times I really don't want to fucking deal with it, but I'm ALWAYS happy about where I live and that makes the rough days tolerable.

exactly, that's probably the best thing of working over the internet

lived 30 years on the capital city, and everything and everyone was (and still is) batshit crazy down there (myself included, back then)

then I picked my backpack, bought a laptop, hit the road and never came back =P

of course, every job has its ups and downs, but for my part, I'd say that I mostly complain, when I do, out of boredom or just forgetting how it felt to live on that city and work for an advertising company, or even gameloft

we are seriously derailing here but

You live in the country? So do I. It kills my ability to MP but there is give and take to everything. :P

Yup. This is the best part.

You don't have to go for a holidays for 2 weeks and try and to see as much as possible in those 2 weeks while staying at a hotel, because you only get 20 days off a year. Instead, you can go there for 3 months, rent a place short-term, and visit stuff at your leisure while working. 3 months over? No problem if you like it, you can stay longer.

Probably will be different if/when I start a family, but even then the flexibility of where and when you work is the best part.
