Neverending shitstorm.

Good on them to take on the management like that. 5 years of goodwill burned up in one week, not to mention the professional damage done with their business partners. I feel bad for the hundreds of developers who worked on the game and are now getting dragged by the media and consumers, not to mention the bottom-level, front-line support and media staff at CDPR and GOG who have to deal with tens of thousands of angry messages and who all may take these things personally. I also noticed that GOG is wiping out their Following list on Twitter, it was 2250+ yesterday, now it's under 1000 and still dropping.

Same here. If anyone should handle the fallout and bear the full brunt of feedback from angry fans and gamers, it should be the board of directors + upper management, or whoever's responsible for setting deadlines at CDPR. But ultimately that's not how companies work.

Maybe it is going both ways, people stop listening to them (unfollow them) and they hit back with unfollow of their own. Have their follower numbers also dropped? I stopped following them on Twitter and Twitch yesterday.

Publishers will never learn the lesson of Gothic 3.
It's capitalism. Regardless of the results, the boards always win, and screw the people who do the *real* work.

No, their numbers are still going up, more than usual.

"It was a fitting atmosphere for a company whose slogan, plastered on posters all around its Warsaw office, is “We are rebels.""

Well that explains why they are siding with the rebellious Chinese communist leaders against the one true China, Taiwan.
Makes me wonder if the entire Devotion scandal was an effort by staff to expose CD projekt for spineless corporate pricks that they are. Fuck this company. Silverhand wouldn't stand for this shit. How ironic is that.

a huge drawback that's for sure, imagine how hard to get the newest games here will be, as it wasn't easy before this event

What happened then, if I may ask?
Just read in a British newspaper that Cyberpunk took ten (10) years to develop. Ouch.

WIth a cost of literally millions, plus the investment in publicity... Tough decisions for management in any case: hoping for small flaws that can be quickly patched or going safe yet losing the holidays season. Decisions, decisions...

If it were me in charge of such decisions i'd have held off to avoid the bad PR from all the bugs. I mean CDPR makes some good games sometimes, but it's fanbase isn't as loyal as say Bethesda's(with all the fans despite their bug loaded games).
