I really like RPGs but I'm not going to pay $30 for something that is barely more than an idea at this point, by people who have no actual experience in making games.
I rarely watch videos either, but I think having one is important and shows that some work has already been done, at least.
teabow: I couldn't agree more. Heck, I've seen smaller projects (in terms of budget mainly) provide a much more refined and professional presentation for potential backers. You'll have to invest a bit more time if you want me to believe in your game than just saying: "Look we modded Oblivion for a while, we're cool."
