So GOG has become corporatized (in league with Steam). Which means it will become more for the money? Wonder what other changes will be coming other than the privacy rules. Will they be good for us, or them? Hmmm.
GOG, I like the way you are now, I hope this is not the beginning of the . . .

beginning of what ?

Gog was always a corporation. And corporations are always about money.

I looked up the definition of "corporatized" and got this:

cor·po·ra·tize
ˈkôrp(ə)rəˌtīz/
verb
past tense: corporatized; past participle: corporatized

convert (a state organization) into an independent commercial company.
...somehow I feel like this doesn't necessarily fully apply to GOG or CDPR.

Dude... what?! Just seriously... what?!

How do you manage to exist in a make-believe reality that is so starkly different from the objective one? Don't you like get cognitive dissonances from hell?

1. GOG didn't become copropatized, they were a corporation from day one.
2. They wanted (and needed) to make a profit from day one. If they didn't they'd have closed down a long time ago.
3. How the fuck did you arrive at the conclusion that they are "in league with Steam." Like what exactly prompted your brain to make that connection? Them using Steam's public API to check what games people have there? Does that mean they are in league? Or did their agreements with DEVELOPERS and PUBLISHERS (not with Valve) to give people games for free mean they are in league? What is it?

If anything this move is the least financially motivated action ever. They could be selling you these games. But instead they went through the trouble of convincing the owners to GIVE them to you for free, just because you bought them on a competing service. They lost money on this. To provide you a service. And yet you bitch and come up with delusional accusations.

Why do I only meet these people now, and not 15 years ago when I was in college and actually needed them for case studies for my psychology classes.

/facepalm x3
Okay I woke up and everything seemed fine, but at some point I must have slipped into a vortex and been sent to Bizarro World.

Actually, this move is MUCH more for the consumer. If anything, it's LESS for the money. I can easily see GOG losing sales like this. Just think about it: If you know that you can connect games from Steam to here, why not just wait for a Steam or Humble sale, stock up keys, then connect the games here? You just got a DRM-free game at a cheaper price without paying a dime to GOG.
The only "big mean corporation" sort of move I can see this implicating is that they're attempting to get more publicity, which is good no matter how you look at it, unless you're afraid of new people arriving in the forum or something.

One of the reasons Sega Genesis games like Ecco were so difficult (in my opinion), was the shape of the controller. Sega's controller always sucked compared to the controllers put out by Nintendo.

"There's plenty of games about zombies. But when they start showing up in Assassin's Creed, Battlefield, Mass Effect, Deponia, Battlefront and even Farming Simulator? It's obvious something has gone terribly wrong...

Everyone thought he was dead. They were right. But it's not enough to stop him. Games For Windows Undead is back from virtual oblivion, and is infecting all games everywhere with his undead minions. Can the League of Extraordinary DRM- Captain Steam, Dr. UPlay, "Secret" Origin and Battle-Net stop their former comrade? And what is the mysterious Mr. GOG's stake in all of this?

The first issue of the new, exciting series will be out on June 31st"
