CarrionCrow: Good evening. =)

In the midst of calling this game the kinds of names that would get me ejected from polite society in about two seconds flat. That's about it here right now.
Hey Crow :)

Hm...interesting...i guess the names are NSFW? How many levels do you have left?

Just a bit...

Two more to go. Problem is, level 36 has three separate sections. Every time I get to the exit, I get teleported to another area. But the same rule applies - anyone dies, start over from the very beginning.
Just shut it off. Got through a few levels already, pretty sure I don't have the patience for that one right now.

ElTerprise: Well it's too late i guess - 18 years of passive smoking :)
But seriously...i'm just exhausted after i went to volleyball for the first time in nearly two months and it was great :D
Thanks - i really enjoyed it and it was a great fun :D
They changed the announcement on the Retroism site.

*another big hug* :)
18 years? So they let children smoke in Germany now? :-)

I wonder why the changed the announcement? I wonder if there were problems with the games, as it seems a few people are having a problem with today's release already.

*big hug*

CarrionCrow: Good evening.

Happy to hear things have gone so well for you today. =) -quietly grabs a cranberry cookie-
Good evening!

If I could share the cookies I would bake a big bunch for all the regulars here.

Have you had a nice day?

Quelle surprise ;)

Sounds lovely. Cannot imagine why you won't have the patience for it ;)

Well my parents smoked but seriously you're not totally wrong. Until a few years ago smoking was legal at age 16. That was changed in 2007 to 18.

I assume that this might be the case. I mean it took them years to get Revenant running. I guess it's difficult to get those Win95/98 games running on modern systems...

And we would undoubtedly eat a whole lot of them. -laughs-

Yes, it's been fine here. Quiet in general. Got some stuff done around the house, played some games the rest of the time, and hearing the news about Insomnia coming was very good as well.

I guess they jumped the gun a little with their first announcement. Will you be getting any of the new games?

Well that is what cookies are for. I guess I should bring some milk as well, or maybe some milkshake. Those tend to go nice with cookies.

Is it conformed about an Insomnia sale? Is that why GOG is not letting people store card detail (but still no pre-paid store credit feature)?

Probably...well it's unofficial until it actually on GOG after all :)

Well i like the idea of an FPS/RTS hybrid but i want to know more about the game before actually buying it.

It's as confirmed as GOG ever gets about things before they're actually in progress. You know how it goes.

No clue on that one. Figuring they're going to roll functionality out in continued stages, adding on more security as they go to make sure no one can get their accounts ripped off somehow.

You will never be a great game hoarder if you use logic before buying a game. :-)

Did you take a look at the list of games they are hoping to bring here? If so did any of them appeal to you as well?

I guess it is safer for them that way, and I guess also a nice surprise for the regulars. I guess if not an Insomnia then some kind of regular sale perhaps.

Do they still let you change email without verification? I think they needed to improve a little more on the security front before storing cards and things. But it is also a bit sad. It means they did not add 2-factor for us, to protect us as we had asked for, it was just so they could store card information. Yet more examples of them not really caring about the community, perhaps.

If you keep overanalysing purchases you will end up like me and struggling to ever justify getting yourself a game and just gift instead. Not that that is a bad thing. :-)

I have never heard of the games before either. And there is only one that looked a little interesting, but I am not sure I will be getting it. I would need to look into it more.

Well it's not like i don't own enough games already ;)

Same here - i'll wait until i know more about them before getting them eventually :)

"Enough games already"? You really will never be a hoarder with that attitude. :-)

The game that caught my eye was one of the FPS games, the one that reminded me and Agent of Half-Life, but I can't remember the name.

Released yet or on the way?

Ixamyakxim: Released yet or on the way?
On the way. I think it was Requiem: Avenging Angel. And my Half-Life comment was just based on what the graphics reminded me of. I have no idea what the game really is or what it is like.

The games eventually coming here are:
Uprising: Join or Die (1997) (Cyclone Studios)
Uprising: Lead and Destroy (1998) (Cyclone Studios)
Requiem: Avenging Angel (1997) (Cyclone Studios)
Killing Time (1996) (Studio 3DO)
Captain Quazar (1996) (Studio 3DO/Cyclone Studios)
BattleTanx (1998) (3DO)

And the website post about it all:
