j0ekerr: Good moaning how are you all?

Checked the bundle of holding and... HOLY SHITE! The paranoia bundle! Hell yea... waitasec 18 bucks?!
Good Morning!

What is the paranoia bundle? And how are you today?

Soccorro: Hello Fred and Fredians!
Hello, Mr Carrot! :-)

ddickinson: I agree. Although I do like Duke 3D, which is a sprite based game. I also thought of Half-Life when I saw that game, and Half-Life is a game I really enjoyed. I still play it and the two expansions every so often. I never got to play the second series of games due to DRM, but the first game is still great and fun to play despite its age. Maybe when I can cope with FPS games again I will give Half-Life another play, it has been a few years since I last played the game.

*big fingers crossed for a good day hug*
I only played an hour or so of Duke, and thought it was alright. I really liked Blood. Descent is pretty old, but I liked it for having full freedom of movement. Six axes of movement (Oogle tells me this random fact : "Interestingly, axes is the only word in English that can be the plural of three different singular noun forms--ax, axe, and axis.") :-)
Otherwise, there are very few FPS games before Half-Life that I like.... now when will it get here? ;-p

*thank you hug*

Hello, Mr Carrot! :-)
Doing ok, I think...
It's a humour role playing game set in a dystopian future society. Think Evil computer overlord meets Monty Python.
It goes like this: The computer knows best, the computer rules best, and the computer wants you to be happy, if you're not happy, you'll be used as insulation in a nuclear reactor.
It was notorious for being the only pen and paper roleplaying game that gave you multiple lives.

I am not sure if I would like Duke if I had not played it when I was younger. It is likely I would find it too outdated. But nostalgia often helps when it comes to getting over the limitations of older games.

And as soon as you have destroyed Steam and made GOG the one and only store, then we might see Half-Life. :-)

*big silly hug*

You can get all the skin whitening surgery you like, it never worked for Michael Jackson and it won't work for you. And neither will the sign. You were born a carrot, and you will forever be a carrot. :-)

A Monty Python evil computer? That sounds interesting. Are you enjoying the pen and paper game?

There, there. I'll give you a slight reprieve from them picking on you and recognize your parsnippitiness.
I gotta admit though, I kinda miss the Rocko avatar. It was easier to remember. Rocko...Soccorro....kinda similar-sounding.

j0ekerr: I visited DisneyLand when I was a wee lad. I thought it was incredibly large at the time. Huge as in taking hours to walk all the way across and needing a couple of days to see the whole park.
I still think it's huge. Disneyworld is just....freakin' ginormous.

I actually never played it, but I've been hearing about it for a long time. It was supposed to be the only humourous rpg back in the day while all the others centered on slaying dragons and looting dungeons or helping midgets throw a ring in a volcano or being angsty gothy vampires, and so on, and so on.
There's a lot of nostalgia and geek collecting involved of course. I like hoard... I mean collecting stuff.
Which is what got me into Magic TG.
*Shudder*
Fortunately I got over that.
Still the cards DID look cool.
Rage cards were cooler though.
The first LOTR CCG had the most beautiful design of all. Pity the game itself was an unplayable mess.

It does seem that many follow a Tolkien kind of setting. I think that is why when ever there is a new one that goes down a different theme then it is often quite popular, at least at first. I have not really had much experience with table top D&D type games, in fact the only tabletop games I probably have tried are the Warhammer ones of old. But the artwork is indeed often very cool, with a lot of detail going into everything.

It's been kinda the opposite for me, with shooters. The ones I liked when I was young, like Wolfenstein and RoTT, I don't really like now. But the ones I only discovered recently, like Blake Stone and Blood, are new favourites :-p Not sure how to explain that one.

I'll do it... I just need to... sit around for a while first u__u
*lazy hug*
Good day, lovely people of the thread! *hugs and handshakes*

That was pretty much my reaction. I refrained from buying it, especially since my best friend is a rabid Paranoia fanboy and owns everything ever published (or close to that anyways). And if I ever play Paranoia I play with him. So I don't really need it.
