AgentBirdnest: Chaser was good! I never finished it though. It was too long :-p I felt like I had been playing forever, then discovered I was only about halfway through and took an indefinite break to avoid burning myself out. Other than that, I found it enjoyable, but a bit difficult, like you said.
Postal 2 is really something else :-) ... I remember being disgusted with it years ago, as a prudish Moomin, but I finally decided to give it a try (based on your recommendation I think, and that it was only 99¢) and not expect too much. Turns out it was a good bit of fun, if you take it for the silly game that it is meant to be.
The story on Chaser started of good, but just never really followed through. But I did like the length, even if it was not the best narrative. It reminded me of the old games that had quite a few levels to them. The ending was a little weird, and maybe it was setting up a sequel, but I liked it. It has so many settings, including space ships, Russia, Mars, and a number of others. I got it on sale and am definitely glad I payed it. It might not be a world class FPS game, but better than a lot out there. I liked Iron Storm for the setting, the whole alternative history set in the trenches stuff, but it soon left the trenches and the story got a bit meh. But overall I liked it, another good buy for me.

Postal 2 is very silly, and I like that it is up to you how violent you will be and how you play the game. The expansion was not very good, far too linear and just not that good, but the first game I thought was something different. I can understand people not liking it due to the violence, but it had more of a comedy feel to it over a real shock violence kind of game.

Stilton: -chuckle- Have you seen School for Scoundrels? I think its your kind of film....

*Polite wave back, followed by a rib-squeeze* :-)
Not a film I have heard of, maybe I will take a look at it someday.

How are you today, is the week treating you well?

*big return hug*

Stilton: Good day, people. Hope you're all well and hugging everything in sight :-)

AgentBirdnest: Welcome home, darling Viking *big hug* :-)
Good morn...oon? (daylight saving has made me lose track of timezones.)
Hello, sweetheart x ;-) I gather you're feeling better today - good news! Dig your heels in and outlast the bugger, its often the only way. There's also the 'good friends and peanut butter' method, which it pretty useful. :-)

*return keep having a good day hug*

Stilton: Wasn't Lurkalot one of the Knights of the Round Table?

I like pandas, too - are they just black/white or red? I'm not that well informed about our cuddly little friends...
Funny thing is I originally wanted my forum title to be Little Miss Lurk-A-Lot. Unfortunately that didn't fit.

There's both, but I like the black and white variety more. Even though DD says they look grumpy. She likes the red ones more, I think.

Wasn't that the name of Frankie Howerd's character in Up the Chastity Belt? I am pretty sure his name was Lurkalot in that film, and Lurcio in the Up Pompeii series/movie.

I was only playing about them being grumpy. I do prefer the Red Pandas more, but I was just being playful as I know Moon likes the Giant Pandas.

Technically, as far as this thread goes, I've kinda taken over that job more than you have, just grabbing bits and pieces of random conversations, then slipping back into the dark, mysterious chasm that is known as "the rest of the forum".

You probably get on well with our beloved Moon, she likes to slide behind the clouds sometimes and do a bit of lurking herself :-)

And anything you have to say to DD will automatically make her choose the opposite opinion. Isn't that right, DD!

Just wait, she'll tell me I'm wrong.... :-P
Good afternoon everyone *big hugs and waves*

Hope you're all doing fine :)

Right on both counts, I believe. You clearly know quality film and tv when you see it. :-)

I know. I was being a little tongue-in-cheek. And they actually do look grumpy sometimes.

Something tells me you're right.^^ Although she also could just ignore that and prove you wrong.

I actually really like a lot of the older British comedies. I grew up with them as my dad really likes them and they kind of grew on me. I know many people now don;t like the older stuff, but I don't mind them. Granted it was all pretty much made before I was even born, so I guess I should be more modern, buy oh well, I never denied I was weird. :-)

Guten tag, Herr Elt :-)

How's your day going?

Mine's the usual average normal unexceptional ordinary regular routine typical commonplace general standard conventional customary typical run-of-the-mill same old same old can't complain not much difference from yesterday which probably means tomorrow will be just like it, kind of thing.

Which is fine by me :-)

Good afternoon, Mr. Stilton :)
I'm good - glad to hear you're doing fine despite the overly complicated way of telling me that ;)

Would I ever do a think like that. :-)

So if I agree, that is proving you right, but if I disagree, does that also prove you right? In that case I will just refuse to answer the question. :-)
