What makes you think I was referring to you. :-)
I am good today, thank you. How is life treating you over in that sunny state? Am I right in thinking that the temperature for California is roughly the same all year round, or did I remember that wrong?

AgentBirdnest: Good morning, everyone. I hope a lovely Wednesday is being had by all.
Seriously though, I hope it's just a random occurrence and nothing serious.
It's not random, I have to make some complicated calculations ASAP. So I made my computer run 22 of such calculations simultaneously. It's going smoothly so far but I'm a bit concerned that by the end of the day I will have to pause some of them because I don't want to go home and risk some serious overheat problems.Ghorpm: Hello gals and guys! It seems my PC is overheating a bit. And I started ~3 hours ago there is still a lot of things to do. Come on buddy, you can deal with it!
AgentBirdnest: *pours some ice-water on your PC*... hopefully that will take care of it :-) Seriously though, I hope it's just a random occurrence and nothing serious.

Because if this thread had cheap seats/a peanut gallery, I'd be in it. I am good today, thank you. How is life treating you over in that sunny state? Am I right in thinking that the temperature for California is roughly the same all year round, or did I remember that wrong?
I'm finally over this cold of mine, so I'm much better than I was before.
You're thinking of SOUTHERN California. The place with the movie stars and the surfboards and the long expanses of desert everybody forgets about. Here in the Bay Area, we've got a bunch of different microclimates, each with its own weird little weather pattern.
Whenever you're in San Francisco, you can spot the tourists by seeing the people in shorts/flip-flops/sunglasses. After hearing about "sunny California" they get suckered into thinking that the city's warm, and whoo boy, are they wrong. I honestly think that's the only way all those kitschy little sweatshirt shops stay in business.

So it was southern California I was thinking of. My knowledge of US states and weather is a little rusty these days. Thank you for the answer. I must admit that if you were to go on just the media and how they represented your state, then you would indeed think all of California was this sunny paradise with not a rain cloud or cold wind in sight. Not that I would class that as a paradise, I prefer a nice mix in weather, but I know lots of people could quite happily live in a sunny climate all year round. I'm finally over this cold of mine, so I'm much better than I was before.

How are you today, lovely Moonshine? I hope you had a good nights sleep and that the day ahead is not looking too bad?

Where do you get all this information about the new releases? I've not even heard of any of them, except for The Last Door, which I'm looking forward to.

Hm :-( ... well, I hope the poor thing survives, and can be fixed easily.Post edited March 16, 2016 by AgentBirdnest

Good morning, Mr Agent! *big hug* Where do you get all this information about the new releases? I've not even heard of any of them, except for The Last Door, which I'm looking forward to.
Sorry, I know it is an Agents job to find intel. I find the information by venturing out into that great wild forum. :-)
Here is the link for the older releases:
http://retroism.com/join-die-classic-cyclone-studios3do-uprising-games-go-digital/
I have never heard of the older games either, and after looking most are not really my kind of game. But many people seem really excited that they are coming here, and it is always good to see more classic games on GOG.
I am kind of hoping The Last Door Season 2 comes as a collectors edition like the first one, as the soundtrack on that game was very good and I would assume the second one is as well. But we will have to see, gone are the days when we got nice extras with games. We get them sometimes, but most of the time we get very little.
How are you feeling today? A little better I hope?
*big morning hug*

I think that is always the case regarding sleep when work is there waiting for you in the morning. Having work to look forward to often makes you what to just stay in be for a little longer. But hopefully your short sleep will be enough to get you through your busy day.

zeogold: Yeah, the media perception of California is fairly off-kilter unless you're in Hollywood or Disneyland or something. As far as the weather for my particular area, it usually hits the 100s in the summer (about 38°C) and the mid-60s in the winter (around 18°C), with rain, so we get a fairly wide range of weather.
But still quite warm I see, even at the winter temperatures. I also never knew there was a Disneyland in California, I only remember seeing promotion for the one in Florida. But then I am not a fan of Disney, so I am not likely to know about all of their endeavours. But it makes sense having one on each coast, given the size of the US.
