EndreWhiteMane: I have never figured out your 'porridge', is this what I call oatmeal (rolled oats) or something else?
I love both oatmeal (made very thick) and Farina/Cream of Wheat.
avatar
ddickinson: Porridge is a dish consisting of oatmeal or another meal or cereal boiled in water or milk. It's nice with some fruit, and it's slow releasing, meaning it helps fuel the body more during the day. So yeah, I think it's the same thing, just different terminology.

avatar
EndreWhiteMane: So do I (OK, used to). :-)
avatar
ddickinson: Only used to? What about those nurses you've collected? :-)

avatar
EndreWhiteMane: Can I at least warn you about the sand? ;)
avatar
ddickinson: But it can be used for making sand castles. :-)
Yep, same thing. Very nice on cold days. I eat mine with butter and cinnamon.

Sand can also really irritate a girlfriend. :/
avatar
gunsynd: Water??? fish have sex in that stuff:-)
avatar
ddickinson: You do know that there is water in coffee and beer as well, don't you? Also, I'm pretty sure people have sex in the stuff as well. :-)

Never been a fan of the gruel family, tbh. ;)

LynetteC: Good evening everyone! How are we all this evening (morning, afternoon)? :-)
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: Good afternoon Lynette, how's our entertainer today?
Recovering from the weekend and a day in the office and looking forward to Friday when I start my leave from work. :-) I'm taking myself and my daughter Laura for a trip up to Edinburgh to visit my sister for half term but I have my internet on my phone so I'll still be able to check in. :-)

Husband is staying at home to do some DIY and lots of cooking - he's so much better at it than I am. :-) Special requests are going in for Thai green curry, macaroni cheese and these little spicy chicken rolls that he makes. Diet? What diet? lol

A lot of people don't care for it though I think it's usually because they've been served some pretty horrible stuff in the past.
Most people like my oatmeal once I serve it to them 'tailored' to their tastes Some still hate it though. :-)

EndreWhiteMane: Everyone needs to watch some Monty Python, nothing else in the world quite like it.
It's British humour run completely amok! :-)
I second this. Specifically The Life of Brian and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Comedy gold.

EndreWhiteMane: Crow/Gunny/Adalia does your character in Xulima stagger around like a drunk even when running?
Mine does and it drives me nuts. Wonder if it's my machine, the S$#@! client or just the way it is.
It just doesn't fit with the nice graphics and soundtrack.
Yes. The movement is rubbish, I've had it crash once or twice because I got stuck on stuff... but the movement is rubbish, too slow and jerky and the collision is awful, sometimes you can walk through trees, sometimes you can't. It's my biggest complaint with the game.

As for smoking, filthy habit, can't stand it. But I suppose I'll let you all off ;)

But I love porridge, delicious and very filling.

Oh, and good evening all :)

I bet it would. It's not something I have ever really considered, as I can imagine the downside to it all. It might look romantic on movies, but I think it would not be worth the effort. A nice comfy bed would be just as good, and less irritating. :-)

Well I don't know how the water is in Oz, but over here the water is cleaned before it reached the tap. Plus I have a filtration thing on the tap itself, just to take out all the unwanted minerals in the water that are left over from it been cleaned. They are harmless, but it tastes a lot nice with them filtered out.

But Skippy wanted to earn his rank. So now what do I do? Do I abide by his wishes and let him earn them, or do we have some fun and help him reach his 100 points?

Hello, Moon! *big hug*

How has the week been treating you so far?

I likes most of the Monty Python stuff. It was not as good once John Cleese left, but it was a very interesting and wacky show, with some very funny moments. I like a lot of Terry Gilliam films as well, especially stuff like Brazil. You can see how working with the others had rubbed off on him.

Honest answer? Not really. Just normal work and on the weekend I'll probably hide at home.
