ddickinson: Not only am I free from my partner's family, but my mother is now home from the hospital. *does happy dance*. I'm so happy to have her home, my fathers face lit up when we came home, it was so sweet. My brothers are covering a bit of my work so I can spend most of this week inside and looking after my mum and make sure she is doing okay. So, yeah, a great day for me.
That is great to hear! So happy for you and your family :-)
*huge happy hug*

I'm sure they will get bored of doing it soon and then you can start getting your well earned rep back. In the mean time, try not to let it distress you, they are not worth it.

ddickinson: But are you the real Pope or the Pope the Americans tried to establish previously?
There's only one real Pope, me! I'm impartial and only care about the greater good!

Great news about your mother being back home; I'm sure she'll do much better now, and will be up on her feet before long.

Hello Agent! *big happy hug*

How's one of my all time favourite Americans doing today? I accept answers in the form of birds, flowers, or colours today. :-)

So the one real Pope is spending his time with a bunch of Protestants in a small English town and preaching about the greater good, which happens to be mass murder so that they can win a village of the year award. Interesting. :-)

Thank you. They said it could take a month or so before any big improvements are made, and it will be a while before she can walk without walking sticks, but at least she is back home and out of the hospital.

I don't know anything about flowers... I have whatever the exact opposite of a green thumb is.
I'll go with a colour...
I feel Skobeloff today.

It seems Skobeloff is a variation of Spring green, so that does not sound too bad. *Spring green hugs* :-)

I'm open minded.

If she's anything like my mother was, then I'm sure that she was fed up and stressed lying in a hospital bed for so long, and her recovery would have taken longer if she had stayed there. Being home will do wonders for her spirit, which in turn will do half the job for her recovery.
As for the walking sticks - if she's half as suborn as you, she'll toss them sooner than anyone expects.
This of course means that you have to stand guard she doesn't overestimate her strength, but I'm sure I don't need to tell you this.

My mother definitely hates been in hospital. Sadly she is in and out of hospital all the time, with hardly any progress ever made as to what the root of the problem is. She usually ends up nearly dying then manages to recover, so she gets so stressed and worked up while she is in the hospital. Hopefully now she is home she will start to relax and she can just concentrate on recovering.

She has already tried to walk without the sticks, and she is definitely as hardy and stubborn as I am, perhaps even more so. She does not like to admit she is ill, which has been hard for her for the last few years, as ever since she first got seriously ill, around the time my grandmother did, she has never quite been herself. It's hard on her to go from an active farm mum to someone who is often too tired to do all the things she used to love doing. But she is a strong willed woman, and she won't let her being ill stop her from doing things, even if it means I have to watch her like a hawk, just as I had to do when my father got out of hospital. My brothers are covering some of my work so that for this weak at least I can stay with her and make sure she is behaving herself and resting, not trying to do work.

How has the week been treating you so far?

Humour takes one more places than sulking. (~_^)

My friend is not feeling dizzy anymore, and there's a slight improvement with the eye, so things look better at that front. Which is a really good thing, as she's got a persistent problem with her lower leg which also needs surgery, and she's anxious to schedule that one too.

In other news - it was snowing this morning, and for some reason it made me feel good, but sadly it stopped leaving behind a wet mucky mess; we're now back to only strong howling north wind with no signs of it calming down.

Okay, since you say you are the real Pope, I have a question. Why are you not using your influence to encourage all the Catholics in the world to use GOG? Surly you have a duty to free your people from the evil influences of the demonic Steam? :-)

Just as I suspected. It'd be interesting (dare I say fun?) to watch you two go head-to-head at what she can and can't do. ;-P

As for my week - not sure what its intentions are; I didn't sleep at all last night, perhaps I'll be luckier tonight.

Glad to hear your friend is improving. I love watching it snow, even if it doesn't stay around long. ;)
