Hm...that would be an awesome seminar :P
But no...it's still the programming language /statistics software R ;)

Hey Agent *big return hug*
How are you doing?

CarrionCrow:
Oh dear, now I know why they didn't (well one of the reasons at least) let Humble do the distribution.
Turns out when the paizo web page displays personalizing it really is personalizing the damn book. It's watermarking every single page in your pdf with your username and email at both the top and bottom. Fortunately the text is small, unobtrusive, and only midly annoying.

It also means that if someone decided to upload/torrent it, you'd inmediately know who the user responsible was.

And that's probably why Humble is not handling the distribution. On-the-fly watermarking of pdf documents probably requires a bunch of software modules which Humble most probably doesn't have. And which isn't worth the effort to implement for the duration of the promo.

And I have no idea why it's called "lite". It's a 50'ish meg full colour pdf file with over 500 pages.

I'd give that seminar.

First point: Everything you've been told about pants is a LIE!

Statistics \o/ Fun stuff :-)

I'm doing okay, despite a Lovely Little Headache™... So lovely that I proposed to it, and it said "yes!". We are looking for a new home together- maybe on Birchview Street. We can't wait to start this new life together. We were considering Oymyakon for the honeymoon.
[/ass] :-)

Cake is real, unless it's vanilla in which case it's an abomination that has no right to exist and is the worst kind of heresy!

I'd make a point to go in and immediately start arguing with everyone.

Fairfox: MAKE THIS FAKE CHAT NOTIFICATION GO AWAY. I have enough chatties without fake ones going blaaaargh in my face!
Hurm...
And exactly what other things usually go blaaaargh on your face?

I oogled "worst place to live" and that city came up :-p

Take care of yourself, ElT. See ya later.

j0ekerr:
Yes, that's exactly why Paizo is handling it themselves. They have a specific protection method, Humble doesn't.

Not sure on the differences between lite and regular. Will keep trying to get the regular version through, then a compare and contrast will be possible.

I managed to get the other one.
It weighs more than twice as many megs and the page borders have a darker texture.
Aside from that, they're identical.

Hmm. Well, guess I'll just shoot for the lite one then.
It is nice that they provide four different options for each large title. I like having that.

On an unrelated note, looking forward to the main developers for the new Battletech playing the tabletop version tomorrow. That's going to be fun to watch.
